oh wait.. "Do what you can to avoid bulbs within that 3500K – 4000K because they emit very little light that Is useful to your plant. Notice here the difference between the CT of these lamp’s"

i wonder why? maybe these are the green spectrum? so much misleading, conflicting info on the net.

fuck. what do to..what to do?

cant rep you again bakatare, sorry! :p

idk though..on wiki it says any bulb that ignites a element to make energy is a good full spectrum bulb, espeically expensive probably non chinese made. but then again i have chinese made cymbals and the play just as nice as an avedis

id imagine 4300 would be the best..like on the car pure white. white light is strong light and clean light. i might just give them a go for the hell of it. if it doesnt work well though ill be pissed.

i know you cant have just a heavy green light and why my pops told me that a while ago

some super soil ( i dont know why people keep saying that when i tell them whats in it) and hopefully some more light should be good to go

do u use a work light for working when ur lights are off? if so wat color? if not wat color would u buy? then ask urself wat color is abundent in the useless spectrum u so dearly seek knowledge on....:wall::wall:

the spectrum is green..thats why the plants reflect that color, its useless to them. white should have the most orange and blue in it, thats what makes it pure white, no? white is the cleanest, most powerful "brightist" shade

why doesnt this apply to bulbs, if wiki is correct about cfls being able to produce full spectrum?

4-5k is white, not green

holy shit..green IS brightness to us..

"Lighting Spectrum and Photosythesis

The most common mistake people make with plants is to not understand photosynthesis and the visible spectrum of lighting that affects plant growth. Most people choose lighting solely based on the Kelvin temperature of a bulb. This tells you very little about what type of light within the spectrum is being emitted and at what strength. Visible light is on a scale in nanometers (radiated wavelength) from 400nm (violet) to 700nm (red). Simple matter of photosynthesis: plants can only utilize light that is absorbed. Bright light is essential yet only a portion of this white light is used for photosynthesis. The blue and red zones of the visible spectrum are the most beneficial to plants. Green plants appear green because it is reflected light. How "bright" a light appears has more to do with how much light is output in a given area visible to the human eye, with "brightness" being at a maximum in the green spectrum (middle of visible spectrum, or around 550nm).

then keep reading wiki and stop asking tried and true fArmers for advise. why must u understand? there have been a shit ton of cfl grows in the last few years and it seems like u think u have some magic to bring to the table or ur goona be the next ed rosenthal or sum shit. let it go and listen to the advise ur givin by farmers whos pics clearly speak for themselves....kinda like ur pics speak on ur abilities. did a pot farmer write wiki? cuz ur putting way to little value on wat these successful farmers are saying. ur gonna piss them off more and risk losing a shit ton of priceless information bud. i think u should eat sum humble pie for breakfast and rethink ur approach to discussing farming.

bmeat, It shouldn't take you 4 pages to figure out which spectrum is the best. You really need to find another hobby.

hey guys. im gonna try and get some new bulbs. should i get 4100kor 5000k if i want to use them during veg and flower?
I lolled :D

Every thread he starts is his asking some retarded question that google could answer in 10 seconds.

Every post he makes in a thread that is not his own he acts like he knows wtf he is talking about and dispenses bad advice, argues with actual growers and generally makes himself look like an idiot.

It's so funny to come from a post where he is argueing over photoperiod effects on un-sexed seedlings to see him asking basic grow questions like this thread.

Just goes to show that he is very clueless, and has a big mouth.
