Electrically charged water, can I make my own?

This may be off topic, or beyond the expertize of the readers, but I have tried to do a google search and ended up more confused than enlightened.
I recently tried out Mighty Wash for spider mites and am definately sold on the product, especially in my search for something to kill those little monsters while my plants are in bloom. However the cost ( around 35.00 per gal.) is rather high for a larger scale grow. I would love to use this product throughout my grow as it is completely safe and will not be introducing chemicals into my plants.
From what I have been able to learn Mighty wash is simply a ionized or charged water with a small amount of wetting agent.
My question is this. Is there a way that I can generate or create my own home made version of Mighty Wash? I do know that there is a water softening system that uses this technology and was wondering if that could be addapted to creating my own bug wash?
Any phisics majors or science majors out there in RIU land that could shed a little light on the subject?
I am not a very scientifically educated person, however I am an avid do it yourselfer that would love to figure this one out with a little help from the more scientifically educated among us.

Just a probebly crazy idea.

I have made a similar version and have had success. I use the low ph water to kill mold and bugs. I use the high ph water for cleaning. I have even used the low ph water to kill brown/clear algae slime in hydroponics. I tried asking on other forums and didn't get much of a response so I did my own research and have been pleased with my success. Research ionized water online. Hope my advice helps you and others.

Use "electrolyzed water" as your search term. Electrolysis was a school science project a loong time ago. The process I've found uses 99.99% H20 and .01% table salt. Sound familiar? This is not to conclusively say that this is the stuff of Mighty Wash, but it looks promising.
