would a 600 watt be too much?

i have a 250 watt hps/mh right now in a 4x2 closet. i want to be able to use the entire width of the closet so i thinking about uping the light...

my ventilation might be the issue. i have a bathroom fan with carbon filter for outake and one pc fan for an intake. i tried putting an old 150watt in with the 250 and ended up cooking the girls for a couple hours. i am thinking if i just bump up the light and only having the one bulb the temp will be alright.

would 600 be alright or is that big for the area? think i should change the ventilation?

the light is not too much - but the problem is heat. if 400w total cooks them - 600 will cook them even faster. you may even need an AC to keep things cool enough (from experience).

think if i uped the ventilation it could handle the heat? the biggest problem last time was having 2 seperate bulbs.

i think i am going to change things up completely. new exhause, bulb, might even try hydro. my buddy wants to do a small cabinet so i think i am going to sell him the 250. going to be a fun couple weeks building a couple new rooms

any suggestions on which type of hydro system to use as a beginner. there is a hjydro shop near by so i can get just about any supply.

Here are some links you'll want to check out before deciding.. I think the hempy bucket is probably the easiest - especially coming from soil - but pick one you like and go for it!

If you get an air cooled fixture and just exhaust straight through I think you could get a 600w in there, otherwise an air cooled 400w would work for sure.
