So I germinated one bagseed from a dealer I bought from..I used the paper towel method and once the taproot came out I planted it into a blue plastic cup. And it was growing good for a few day. But tonight I looked and it hasn't really grown any in the last two day it has two tru leaves and another two starting to form. So I decided to transplant into a bigger container when I took the plant out there was one long root stretching all the way to the bottom of the cup. I'm also using miracle gro 24 8 16. Was it root bound or no?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!
Shit.
You probably shocked the shit out of it, and are burning the fuck out of it.
you shouldn't need to transplant from the cup for at least 2 weeks, and shouldn't feed for at least 3.
What soil are you in? Perlite mixed in?
I am using MG moisture control soil, with 40% perlite, didn't transplant until 21 days, fed at 25 days with small scoop of MG 24-8-16/ gal.
Too late now as far as shocking what little roots you had, but you can try and wash some of the nutes out with some plain water and hope for the best.
Whatever size your pot is, use about 2 or 3 times that amount of plain tap water, let it drain well, and give it some nice warm light, lots of light.
If it does survive, don't do anything but water when it gets dry.
You probably won't see much leaf growth for a while, as it will be trying to build a root system.
That is what it was trying to do when you plucked it from the cup.

Fuck... that's super shitty. I'm using burpee eco friendly seed starting mix. So I should just wash all the miracle gro out with plain water? This is my first grow so I guess I need to learn from my mistakes.

And at the moment for now I'm using only 13 watt cfl. I plan on going to lowes or home depot tomorrow to get new lights but I have a limited grow space so I don't know what I should get . Any suggestions?

No it wasn't root bound. That MG might..probably will burn it, It can be pretty hot for seedlings. That stuff is hot even for the tomatoes.. So now that it is in it's new home you might it to be a little slow on the restart. I think your plant was probably fine and was just fixin to grow it a few roots before taking off above ground..BUt now that you yanked it out of its digs and transplanted.. hard to say what is going to happen, if the tender little root wasn't damaged in the move. Give it time now..much patience is required. Water with caution. Don't know what you plan to do with it but get a light on it, do you have any light for it? Maybe add a few more details to your post, hope your seed in a cup succeeds.. Good Luck and Welcome, I am sure others will be by to see your cup..

Welcome to RIU :leaf: no i wouldnt think it would be root bound not in a few days how long did you have it planted their? It feels like they take awhile but be patient its at a fragile stage right now just because you dont see alot forming on the top dont mean its not growing at that stage its roots are exploding underneath it. Just watch her and try not to move her around you can shock the plant just let her grow :bigjoint:!!!

If it was me, I would do what I suggested in my first post.
As far as lights, more is better, especially with CFL's.
I vegged my one plant with 98w of 5000k and 2700k of CFL's, probably more than I needed, but it turned out nice.

If you go to lowes, they have a really cool outdoor CFL unit that I use in my clone box to a decent degree of success.. It is basically a wardrobe box with this Outdoor fixture in it, 6500K and like 65W..It does the job nice for seedlings and clones, I have two decnt sized plants vegging in her right now. I will find the picture. It could easily grow a single,,its pretty sweet.

I have a lot of respect for you guys I just like the idea of growing my own and not having to go out and spend a shit load of money on weed and not knowing anything about how it was grown or anything. But I really hope my plant lives:( I've bonded with it lol

I had it pplanted in there for maybe three to four days. How long till it starts to show signs of life or death?

If it's not laying on the ground in a day or two It might get through it. I am not comlpletely sure how that MG fert works.. but you probably won't need any for a long time. Get a sizable CFL setup on it. It already has two strikes..1.disruption during a very critical phase..and 2. moreso with the fertilizing. Keep it warm, keep it lit, it's in ICU..It's all up to the plant now..If it is still up on wed. it's chances get better..

Im on the fence with the flush versus MG only because I am not sure if its extended release it should say on the lable. If it is not Flush away, if it is, proceed with caution. That is a tough call. Look at the nitrate percentage in the N breakdown.., they leach out the slower than urea.. If the Nitrate percentage is relatively low it should respond well to a flush. Gotta see the label on the box man. Worse yet, if it has any real time release coated N then it will just stay there also..MG is a very dificult fertilizer to master. It's cheap and can be affective but it is terribly easy to overdue.. There is hope..

OP says he is in some other soil, not MG, otherwise I would be like you, a toss up between flush or not to flush.

Noo. The miracle gro has 24% nitrogen. The soil has total nitrogen 0.06% water insolubole nitrogen 0.06 available phosphate 0.03 solubale potash 0.03 the water insoluble nitrogen is slow release

Oh, OK, I gotcha, I thought you meant your soil had 24, in addition to your 24-8-16 MG all purp.
Ya, if you flushed, and let her dry out good before your next water, I think you'll be OK.
Just a note, IDK if I mentioned before, but usually most people won't feed for 3 weeks or so.

I got to impatient that's why I fed it because it wasn't growing. Can I put pictures on here to show what it looks like?
