Getting Started:
This back yard was scary, unkempt, and a straight jungle when my Lady and I moved in a few months ago. The weather has been much nicer lately. (68 Today Full Sun) I've been able to get out there more and more now that its not raining and 50 F outside. Long story short.... This backyard was unmaintained for about 6-10 years I figure. The landlord told us they used to have chickens, a nice garden, and how "fertile!" the soil is on this property. That pretty much sealed the deal when we were looking for a house to rent. Landlord is COOL, area is perfectly secluded exactly how it should be with high fencing, locked everything, and many more pro's going for me..
If only I had original pics of the property, but it was literally up to my waist and I'm a tall guy. I also didn't figure that I would be sitting here journaling this at some point either haha. I took some quick shots earlier. I "hand-rototilled" (shovel) a large area 36ft long x 12ft wide. I covered it with some old black tarp to maintain weeds until Spring.
Photo's(left to right):
-Got the wheelbarrow up and running
-We had 2 chickens for a few months shitting everywhere.
Their names we Kentucky(KFC) & Popeye.
Popeye got eaten by something up here.
So you're looking at Kentucky. She went on to be a meal at a friends house.
The eggs they used to lay were so good. Large. Brown. Organic.
-I turned the chicken coup i made for them into my compost pile now.

There is a bon fire pit I made for this winter out there right now, but it's gonna go before spring...
Before Spring hits I'll be renting a large rototiller from HD and do some actual damage out there.
Here is the general area that I will be working in this year on my property. Gonna be a good one!

-1 of many pile of rocks on our property. They were all dug up from various places all around.

Dollar Tree:
I went there recently and saw that they had Spring merchandise already out for sell in Jan.
I laughed and walked over to be greeted warmly by a bunch of goodies.
Photo's:
- Seed starter Mix & various sized plastic pots
(3" small ones were a 12pk for $1)
(6" medium ones were a 6pk for $1)...etc.

Just wanted to show you guys that cool stuff can be found at Dollar Tree this time of year and for the next few months, seeing how DT is a seasonal company and stays stocked with whatever time of year it is.
Back in 2007, I found Large bags of "Black Gold" Potting Soil at DT for $1!
Be on the look out at your local DT this year.
Before spring, I'll be taking the HPS's in the tent down and replacing them with one or multiple T5's and switching my flowering tent to a veg tent for this Spring.
I have just recently created my own strain(Cannatonic x Platinum Cherry Pie).
It will be used this year for our grow along with different strains of seeds(ordered, and random unkown top shelf seeds collected over the years that are being given to me by a buddy.
There will also probably be some clones happening too.
Not sure what strains yet. I'll be consulting with my people to see what's gonna be available through various dispensaries.
Stay Tuned
