i have a tray. on a heat mat with a thermostat. i use it for cloning and seedlings.
i had 4 rows of 5 seeds.
all rows germ.
4 rows sprout and grow. 100% success rate.
1 rows the seeds germ, get just a tip of root poking out, then are attacked by some type of larvae/nematode. i split my plugs a little to see what was going on because they weren't popping. 1 seed had at least five clear, white worm like creatures crawling all over it. it seems the shell casing pops and they enter and start eating. so i took some ungermed seeds and put them under my microscope. i am seeing what appears to be clusters of eggs on spots on the seeds. just a little spot here on this one and there on that one. it looks somewhat like glazed tapiocca pudding. it's smooth shiny and hard on the surface but you can see little egg like spots within. this is only happening on this particular batch of seeds. i have numeruos other batches right next to them that aren't being attacked.
so am i trippin'? or is this a real pest?
