Got ya...i just don't see whats wrong with em if i can grow the same as a 1000w for 600w...actually 2400w to 600w. but anyway get to your laptop and we'll continue...but i'd hurry the wax is about to put me out lol

I didn't say anything was wrong with them , i worry about penetration and bud density,
Its like taking a 50/50 chance with my hard earned money . . .
Where have i heard that before ha ha
Gimme that wax !!!!

Haha i'd let ya have a dab...well i guess im gonna get those instead. Ought to be interesting to see compared to hps, i've read LED's are denser than HID

You won't be the first to run that trial.
I have not yet seen a grow that is not an advertisement for an led company,
I hope and i really do that you prove me wrong.
Your last sentence i will ignore , but i will say . . . . . . Are you serious ?

Well can't say first hand so take that with a grain of salt lol...the penetrator 336x pro is insane but jesus its expensive

I would need 5 of those , no chance.
Small confined grows i have no doubt they are a good alternative,
In a larger area coverage and penetration are an issue.
Think about it , your a clever guy , why would they call it the penetrator unless ppl were concerned it was an issue.
Spend your money wisely.

I actually read an apollo 10 is better, more par than the 336x and 1000 watt hortilux. My grow area is not gonna be huge...maybe 6x8x8. So what do you think the gavita 1000 or apollo 10? The other LED was cheap

You dont wanna know what i think,
When i said confined area i meant just that ,
Closet , stealth type grows,
Your talking to someone who hates big companies selling their commercial junk to the masses.
You already changed products in the space of an hour.
Hid is the only way for me ,
How come my local council are still lighting my roads and basket ball courts with hid lights and not led and in the height of recession here and government cuts ,because there is not enough light coverage is their answer.

They've been starting to retrofit the streetlights in my town with LED. There's some places where there is one hps and then the next light is LED. Those leds are super bright. I heard they even got complaints that they were too bright and had to turn them down. I'm not convinced on led either, but the technology is getting better and better.

Ok , well i have never seen them outdoor here but fair enough if you saw with your own eyes,
Understand i am not an led hater and indeed some of my friends use them,
I want to use leds , the benefits are obvious , heat , energy consumption etc. .
I will still have to add fresh air anyway so if you think about it i would prob need to warm the room up.
To match what i produce with hid , i would have to invest thousands ,
I say again i am no hater , i have done a lot of research and when you get down to it , commercial growers using led always say , im nearly there , or , i just need to tweak this and tweak that, bull , they are struggling and were sucked in by heavy advertising , the want to improve and be modern and high tech,
Plenty have gone back and plenty have struggled on or used them for veg or supplemented lighting.
I am not going to put myself through that , not when its blatantly obvious people are struggling,
At best they are a match for t5,8 etc or for the hobby grower.
I agree technology is moving on and i have no doubt they are the future.
This is my opinion only.

Hmm still thinkin guys, an apollo led light or 1000 watt gavita. im only going to have three plants in flower at all times for a perpetual grow, so about 2 weeks apart...their will be four in the space at harvest time

I actually decided to go hps...i'll get LED later, im going to need more than one panel. besides to get two good ones i'll need over a $1000 but when i do i'll let you know and by the time i decide to get one they'll probably have better tech out for em. And thank you, she stinks to high heaven bro. almost smells like a cheese musty and stinky, trichs are starting to get rediculous, which im fine with. lol

I agree. If I upgrade my lighting it would likely be to CMH. I regret ever selling my 400W magnetic ballast for $40.
