Root rot in a hempy bucket?

I pulled a few plants the other day and they all had the sulfur smell commonly associated with root rot. My problem is the roots still looked healthy and the plants didnt show any signs of it. Is it possible maybe the molasses I was putting in was going bad over the course of the 3 days between waterings and causing this smell? First time growing in hempy.

If I was you, I'd take these questions to the Hempy thread... I don't know too much about sugar additive in hydro set ups - just know molasses siting around in hydro is a no-no... At least, most likely, in the concentration u used.
