“The clerk said they only had what was left on the shelf and that there was a ‘hard lock’ on the reorders. She said they hadn’t been getting any replenishment and that just today the store had received a letter from the corporate office stating that they would not be able to order any replenishment of ammunition, other than some for shotguns.“She said they were not stocking anything that could be used in an ‘assault-type rifle.’ I said, ‘This is ammunition I use for practice,’ and she said they were just told there was a ‘hard lock’ on ammo sales.”Another WND reader, Patrick Clemons, reported a similar experience today after he visited the Walmart in Folsom, Calif.Earlier today, the CNS News report on the story had been linked by WND. Under the posting, more than 400 concerned readers had commented under the post. The following are some of those comments:
  • If I cannot buy ammo at Walmart, my wife can do no shopping there at all. That is not arbitrary, that is the rule of my home.

  • Sounds like what happens in a dictatorship doesn’t it?

  • It saddens me to see this happen. It is clearly a first step toward a socialistic takeover of our once great nation. Buy ammo where you can and seriously consider learning to reload your own. You don’t have to stop selling weapons if there is no ammunition to fire.

  • Walmart is mainstream, and the sales of ammo there are as American as apple pie.

  • I believe Walmart was threatened.

  • If Walmart knuckles under to the administration on this, I won’t set foot in the place again. I hope Sam Walton figures the Chinese will support his enterprise.

  • TRAITORS! Ban Wally’s World.

  • Boycott Walmart, dump their stock.

Good, I hope Walmart stops selling ammo. Those people want to be known as 'Real Americans'...yet they shop at fuckin Walmart.

One of the biggest killers of 'Real America' is Walmart. Maybe less people will shop there because of this.

You are 100% right. But when the idea of capitalism was created they didn't think that a chain of stores could lower there prices so much and become so powerful that a regular store couldn't compete. In fact, soon enough, once the big stores conquer any mom and pop store around they will be in a monopoly which is illegal. We just haven't gotten there yet.

tell you what humour me and try
I'm betting that you're not from America, are you? Have you ever
seen what a Walmart does to a small town?

When a Walmart moved into my inlaws town it forced the closedown of the towns 2 locally owned grocery stores, 1 of the liquor stores, and the local hardware store. Walmart was given tax breaks to go there.

If you want details, do a simple Google search.

WALMART RULEZ!

True Capitalism comes into play when I decide to not shop at Walmart, and choose to take my money elsewhere.

Are you anti choice?
the people in your inlaws town chose to shop at walmart

they chose not to pay the mom and pop prices and to spend their money somewhere cheaper

are you expecting people with flawed buisness models to stay in buisness when they arent profitable?

why are you against capitalism?

and why are you against people choosing where they spend their money?

So, now you think that every one of thousands of businesses that Walmart has forced closed, had bad business models?

You sir, are an idiot!

Someone so truly fucking stupid....I get to ignore.

if their business model cannot compete with the competitors then what is it if its not flawed?

capitalism is what made america great. a place where with hard work, we can have our own buisness.s. now, ohbama, a globalist, thinks making money is bad. he blocks more jobs every day. and this idea, is a sickness. now spreading to ten of 12 major newspapers (liberal bias), that support 100% gun ban. they reason they want our guns, is so they can finish with us. they can do anything they want. and in EVERY place that lost their gun rights, mass murder and genocide has followed. it is my opinion, that they are thinking about "thinning out the herd"..........kill a few million of us, and there will be more jobs to go around. however, jobs are not what he wants. as of yesterday, he is sending f-16s, and 200 tanks, to eqypt, who is now under the power of the muslim brotherhood. also, the u.n is pushing for global gun elimination. then, it will be easy for sharia law, to be world wide. the group of liberals we have in power, are all crooks. first they raise tax's, then THEY take their buisnesss out of the country, to avoid them! this is a ploy, to remove all jobs from the usa. to collapse us. mitt was right. the 47%, will trade their rights, for freebies. this is what our youth are being taught. to stand there, grunting. FEED ME. FEED ME.. UG UG. I REMEMVER WHAT DAN RATHER SAID ABOUT OHBAMA. of course he was given a pass, as he is a lib. when a liberal "free speech", makes a nasty comment its fine. if a conservative says just one word, they are attacked full force. so. lib speech is free speech. conservative speech is hate speech. love their logic. now, they are trying to destroy, all EXCEPT THE LEFTIST COMMIES.

Let's see now....

Walmart runs it's company on the backs of communities and the state (and federal) government. It pays it's employees dirt while advising them that if they need assistance to go down and get the free stuff at the welfare office. They demand tax considerations (bribes) in places where they intend to place a store that other companies don't get. They extort their providers, they put mom and pop places out of business, they insist upon only supplying books and magazines that they approve of, they pay little in the way of Federal taxes and in short screw up the works for entire communities.

But you refuse to shop there, not because of all these simple anti-americal activities on the part of walmart, you won't shop there because you can't get your ammunition from them.

Sad.

Here's an idea! find a local, mom and pop shop that does sell ammuinition or convince one to start.

walmart made its money, on undercutting mom and pop buisness. in every town. people, like now, are selling off america, to save a dime. a book was written about this scenario, called "the store". look it up. sci fi. like a king book. what happens in one town, were a store moved in, and destroyed lives, etc. dont get me wrong. this anti-capitalist bullshit is just that. its easy for some not to care about jobs, when they dont want to work, other than holding up a protest sign. i am tempted to run em over. lol. like a frog put in a cool pan of water, and the temp SLOWLY turned up, we are finding ourselves "cooked".....

THat's nice.

The most interesting thing about doomsaying such as your post is that no one ever checks up on this stuff later and you don't either. If none of this comes to pass in the next 4 years and Obama goes quietly into presidential retirement no one is ever going to bring this post up and say "see? you were wrong again". And this goes for all of the doomsayers on talk radio, their records are never ever examined and so they can go on indefinitely spewing this garbage while still having people believe they are sages and prophets.
