Definitely give it a try. It's a profound experience that you'll never forget.. I do recommend that you do it with an experienced friend, with whom you feel comfortable (as with taking any psychedelic for the 1st time).

imo, you can't really od from a hallucinatory substance vlrd.. the ld50 is sp high on most of them it would be pretty damn hard to take what would be considered a lethal dose..

i'm sure you could though take enough that you'd wish you were dead..lol, kind of..

I've yet to try DMT. Had many chance, but haven't taken the leap yet... I'm not scared, but idk if i'm ready for what I'll experience. *and I know you're never really "ready"

how high, how long does the high from dmt last? i always thought it only lasted like 15 minutes or so, but i've never done it meself, so idk.. ty ..

Bout 10 minutes start to finish. When we got DMT we had no idea what it was, it was this gluey smelling stuff encrusted over parsely flakes. It was used like a party favor "here, try THIS, oh, and sit down first".

One could tell where the person wanted to be by how long he held the smoke in. Most took a hit, and almost instantly forcefully blew it out, and then they say very still or gently swayed for several minutes and finally said "wow".


For me it was always ALWAYS all black and white, STARK black and white - the angular sharp edged patterns, as someone said, no difference between eyes open or closed. The experience is very much like being shot out of a cannon, you go from sober to intensely high in a few seconds, time tends to lose meaning so the actual experience can be a subjective hour or even more and then you come down rather quickly. After you try it out you know that you can go further because somewhere in the very back of your mind you are aware that it won't be too long so anything you encounter can't get you- it also, in my experience can't communicate with you. If you want to dabble, smoke, if you want to explore - eat and there is also combining harmala with smoking - tends to give you a longer experience ANd the come on is instantaneous. I figure that is where the good and bad qualities of this stuff are, that instantaneous flash into a highly altered state.


On the other hand - the very last time I used DMT, I was drinking heavily out of a tequila bottle and someone switched the hash pipe that was going around with a pipe filled with DMT. Most in the group thought it was great fun, especially when they switched it on me - "Mr. I can handle anything - no problem". When i realized what I had done it was too late and I was off on the worst spins in the world, 4 or 5 rotations a second like spins, SPINNING like spins. If you rolled down Niagara falls in a barrel and then stopped suddenly kind of spins.

And they didn't completely stop till the next morning - after I had thrown up, missing the toilet (gotta compensate for that spin - the bowl should be here right.....NOW) many times.

Smoking DMT while drunk is inadvisable.

"I couldn't even read" - "normaly you peak for an hour or so". I am curious as to how big these hits were. It sounds a little like this guy is describing a normal 350 - 450 mcg dose. Am I wrong? Oh, and it was very common to begin to feel the effects at the half hour mark. I always used to shower just after I ate a dose and would usually emerge from the shower just feeling the fore-glow.

im 55, and can speak from exp. i did shrooms when younger. acid. i dont think they are good for anything. and dont let anyone tell you, that if its "organic" it cant hurt you. are poison mushrooms not organic???? lots of organic stuff can and will kill you, or change you into something u will never truely recover from. and, from exp, again, this includes alcohol.

I agree with 3 pounds, drugs use is far different then abuse. I personally think that most everyone should try mushrooms, it will open your mind. I know people that don't like them, but in my experience the ones that don't like mushrooms, don't usually like themselves very much. Mushrooms put you in touch with your inner self. You become aware of your subconscious, and learn alot about yourself. Thus some people don't like what they are faced with when they are on mushrooms.

Well the picture is a lot bigger than that. Most is from propaganda but the abuse it received from previous generations are the reasons why scientists have such a hard time getting grants to study these subjects; because of the tenacious view that has been forced upon us. Abuse would categorize their era of drug usage.

And honestly, other cultures have been using these drugs for thousands of years without the problems we see today. Because they repsect it. Drugs, especially psychedelics should be done in a controlled, professional environment; eliminating possibilities of any adverse risk taking stimuli.

Aside from a very few substances, our generation simply brought back the ancient drugs that have been used for hundreds if not thousands of years - like pot and peyote. I don't think we jumped in any more quickly than this generation jumps into RCs - chemicals that in many cases are only months old.

find the dmtnexus and read all the info you can I highly recomend extracting your own or just go for the ayahuasca path. more of a rite of passage. consider aspects of yourself you would like more insight on and also areas you feel may need fixing. start meditating and reducing the amount of toxins you are exposed to....foods-beverages, tv's, mainly anything that is used to distract one from knowing themselves, minimize non-productive activities try to make everything you do count and have a positive effect on the world and people around you I focused on ancient/universal knowledge and wisdom, and how to notice life changing situations and how to integrate it into something useful to further my purpose. choose your own path and stay true

I made several ounces of high quality DMT several years ago. I ended up with 5-10mm long shards of yellow to clear crystals. I have formal training in chemistry and I found it to be quite simple. Yes I still have some and I could post pics but I will not. The substance is completely safe as long as its pure and has no other alkaloids in it but even some of those other alkaloids can be fun. In any case I have never ever seen anyone get hurt using DMT either physically or psychologically. I have seen people say they would not do it twice but I have seen far more people who couldn't wait to get their next hit. There are many theories about it but I can tell you be prepaired to encounter anything in hyperspace. I have been sitting on the last gram of those crystals and some other small pure clear crystals for a while, it stores well in deep freeze. I have been wary af returning to it it takes a commitment, buy the ticket take the ride. I'm thinking of bringing it to Wakarusa this year, get Shpongled...

I think everyone should try DMT atleast once if they have the chance, just make sure ur in a comfortable environment, I notice where I'm at has a huge effect on my trip, I like how someone described it can be heavenly or nightmarish hell, ahha

if you cant handle or tried other psychedelics then i for sure wouldnt take dmt. people think because acid and shrooms last a lot longer they are harder to handle? i dont think so my friend, dmt is the most powerful of them all, regardless of duration. ive ate 14g of shroomies and done a ten strip, (two different trips obviously) and dmt was still wierder than everything ive ever done combined. i did years of research before i finally tried it and i have to say none of that will really help you prepare for whats out there. at a certain point you cant explain things using words anymore. as with any drugs though just treat it with the respect this ancient molecule deserves. deffinately not a hey im board lets do dmt kinda thing, well unless you get down like that. i recently found the liquid form which i never knew existed. did 8 doses at once cuz i was told thats the limit.. geez. 20-30mins later i felt like, no i was a different person. wouldnt even know how to explain that feeling coherently. if you can find a example of a medical related over dose for any psychedelic drugs id be interested in the read. sure lots of people flip out, even harm there selfs on various shit, but to me thats a mental overdose if you will, not physical. im talking if you dont go to the hospital you die overdose ya know? anyways.. keep it wierd friends!

IT is an interesting experience and I think you can still find them, if not you can make one for yourself - its the empsom salts that always got us, it was so expensive.
