<- Check this out regarding a soil mix bro. Here are the recipes to my current soil mix, and my new and improved soil mix. I just use FFOF and get it right for the weed!

And bro...My very first light was a 1000w light haha! BE CAREFUL! If you're having temp issue with CFLs, that thousand watt is gonna make it impossible.
It's gonna bring the temp of your grow space up by like 15 degrees F. Literally. They're WICKED HOT! So DONT use it unless you can adequately cool it.
You'll kill your plants with it if you use it wrong, and itll only take a couple minutes to wreak havoc causing irreversable damage.
Burnt leaves don't fix themselves. They just die!

And everything looks good bro. When your plant come up some, I'm sure ppl will have more to say! Keep it up

yeah the new closet is about one foot deeper and 1/2 ft wider + im not gonna be in a box anymore but im using the whole closet this time. gonna wrap in emergency blankets from local store, what kinda soil? home depot is pretty much my only source at this point in time at for heat issues with the light, it has a massive air cooled reflector hood and the bathroom is located directally next to the clost so i will have a good exit source for drawing the hot air from the box, was considering using the ac unit to run a cold line into the closet? what do you think?

Look for any organic soil that's not time release...

Looked thru homedepot for a good 5 mins and did see much. But I'm using that tomato tone with good results..
You can't get everyhing from home dpot tho. If I were you, I'd bite the bullet and hit Amazon up. It's worth it in my opinion.
If you skimp on the soil, they plants will let you know how they feel haha

update for today
believe day 12
anyway, there showing better health. the leaves have picked up[ quite a bit, the stems are turning less purple.
i guess there using the nutes the soil has dried more than in the past waterings.hopefully its a good sign
im excited to use my new light next week. till then go cfls go..laterr smokey

other news, been feeding veg nutes at 1/4 strength, and they are responding great, leaves cont. to grow and get bigger
and they are takinjg it all in. the soil is drying up rather quickly, almost everyday.
as of right now im using distilled water from walmart, with mg all purpose water soluble food 24-8-16

thanks for always having some imput sincerely420 you are a good asset to this site, thanks for your comment. im feeding them very little not even a decent amount really just a quick squirt outthe bottle, my soil is basically nuteless. so im trying to get started early as i wont be veging but mabee another 2 weeks 3 at the most

well i grabbed a pack lol they said daylight and i realised what i had got. im gonna test the 5k out for myself and see how it goes, thanks for the feed back,

there is a great thread in CFL/Fluorescent Lighting/why 5000k is better....he has convinced me to go back to using the 5000K bulbs

today is day 14 since puit into the paper towels. im lovin the 5000k lights. they are great. today when i woke up i was amazed at how quickly the third set of leaves emerged. lol like a little more than a 1/4". had to move the light alittle.
but yes i do reccomend the bulbs, havent seen any negative issues or effects, go 5000k


at least till i put the 1000 watt mh in mon or tuesday lol

Im telling you how hot the 1000w will be bro!
if you don have good ventilation, the heat it produces with burn and kill your plants.
i killed one with a 1000w hps. Cause irreparable damage in like an hours time...eventually tossed it.
so just keep that in mind!

yeah i here that alot lately, im going to have 2 duct fans in the line with the massive air cooled hood. planning on running duct from half of the aircond. vent to pull more cold air through there and as well as bottom exhaust fan pushing air in and a big one at top pulling air out, plus im next to the bathroom do i can vent it to that..
