The fan leaves on two of my plants are curled in and have a rough texture and the tips of some smaller leaves are dry shriveled and black and some leaves look completely healthy.

They are in FFOF soil under a 150w hps using dyna gro nutrients every other water at 1/2 strength and they are exactly 6 weeks old from the day they were planted. I have 2 plants that are a little smaller in the same closet and they are looking nice and healthy, maybe a slight nitrogen abundance, but nothing similar to the complications on the other 2. Also the 2 plants that i am questioning about are on the opposite side of the closet from the fan while the others that look fine are on the same side as the fan, just curious if that may have anything to do with my problems. The room temps don't exceed 80, but last week before i noticed these problems I had the light a lot closer and also a 125 cfl in there as well, but since then i have raised the light and turned off the cfl.

Tacoing means heat stress.
It can mean heat stress... could be a few other things causing it.. but since he said the plants that are damaged are the farthest from the fan, I would guess and say heat stress. When you water your plants, do you see any water coming out of the bottom of the buckets??

I watered them today and there was no run off.
Water more.
Not more frequently, just more each time you water, enough that you get some draining out.
Pour slowly and watch for some runoff, that way you are more likely to water all the soil, not just parts of the pot.
