lighting just wondering

ok so i have a 2x2x7 area with three babys there in 5 gallon buckets with ff soil there doing great but i want to keep the environment right for them not a sana i bought a 400 w hps with mh light but it gets way 2 hot in there i thought about purchasing cfls any thoughts to help a newb i will appreactiate it maybey pics of yeilds you have had with lights u suggest so help me out my babys will love you

i thought maybey 6 inch fans in the door one at top one at bottom i might try that thanks auzz have you tried cfl i looked into one that was 2x2 it would fit perfectly it would block any light escaping threw the top im not sure on the yeilds of this light though i want them to be happy and flourish

What are your measurements?
2'x7' long and wide? 2' tall?

ty i wondering about the cool tube the extraction fan should suck the heat right out i think right with my bulbs already i could get one of those cool tubes and not have to start a bigger grow room becouse of heat

i cut three holes in the floor so my buckets sit right down in the holes i have 2 in the back corners and one in the middle in the front trust it was a bitch but i squeezed them in there yeah it 7f tall 2x2 square pretty green what do you yeild with cfl

Im vegging with cfl's now and they are great. But I'm gonna switch to hps during flower.

CFL are great for tight areas.
I've used them in almost the same size as you and had great results. They have the perfect spectrums(daylight for veg warm white for flower)
Just cram as many as you can in there. Get a cool mist humidifier to help lower temps a lil.

if i could some how make it into 2 parts like a top and bottom top for germ and veg bottom were it stays cooler for flower that would onley give me 3 1/2 f in height but i would have 2 sections im thinking of inches gone by light i think my light is like 8 inches in height i would like to keep them short i just dont know how

he has to watch out for humidity though. You dont want it too high. I grew in a 4x2x7 closet before and The moisture fills the air quick and brings up the rh. Its one way to get mold. Thats what i did.

i have a humidifier checker right now temps are at 77 with 30% humidity is this ok for what i need to get my grow room to be as well i had to take my babys to the dining table and foil the windows with my light hanging above the table just till i get my grow room issues sorted so no company at the table it was 94 in my grow room from what i have read thats a dont do

humidity isn't much of a problem except at flower time.
Depends how big your plants are. I used like 12 for 2 plants and they were monsters I like to think. Leaves were hitting both sides of walls.
You could probably get away with using less.
That was with no LST or anything just natural growth. I suggest training them down for sure for even canopy and get the lights down close.
Get a fan blowing on that hps, I had a 150w 2" from the plant with a regular fan blowing on the bulb. Im sure you can raise the 400w as high as you can and get some good ventilation.

ok im ganna try raising it and use 3 fans put one like a ceiling fan but just above the light to pull heat up more im ganna use a 12v computer fan right at the top to suck it out and a clip on one for my babys i hope it works

what you mean a 6 " fan wont do any good with a 400. sure it will.
