Okay, is the herb suppose to be dry before the process? I keep reading different things :/ Thanks.

as I understand it, Yes.

The herb will be dry but in the beginning of the process you'll add water to it and let it sit for 10-15 mins before agitating.

2 sides to this fence. IMO dry is better because it will have less chlorophyll in the material when you start, and water will easily extract chlorophyll from plant mater. This is the reason to do the process in an extremely cold environment.

The best bubble I have made was done without ice, I just left the bucket set-up with the bags filled with water in the unheated garage over night (night temp was -10) As I pulled bags the hash came out in frozen ball.

Haha... Lots of different views... First off, I can't/wont use fresh buds - my buds are for the jars :)

My trim will be used to make the hash. I'm just trying to squeeze a little more goodness out of the babies - may they RIP... But I got a TON of UNDEVELOPED buds due to the thick canopy. Hopefully they developed enough resin to provide me with a decent second harvest :)

Supposed to be is probably the wrong question, because you can extract trichomes either fresh green and frozen, or dried first. It is more of a preference and choice than a rule.

Fresh frozen delivers more entourage terpenes than dried, as some of them are mono and sesquiterpene alcohols, ethers, ketones, and aldehydes, which are lighter than the diterpene cannabinoids, and exit with the water.
