What if one had several 6-8 inch plants and decided to flower them? Already understanding that yield will be reduced due to shorter veg, Could one extend the flowering cycle somehow to obtain relatively ginormous buds? Or is the bud production directly proportionate to the size of the plant and once a certain size is reached production shuts down?

I understand this may be a stupid question, but my first grade teacher said there are no stupid questions, just stupid people...or something like that:dunce:

once you start flowering a plant, after a certin point(7-9 weeks) the buds are fully mature, and from that point on the thc levels degrade, so no i dont think you can expect "ginormous" buds... at least ones that will get u stoned...

Assuming the plants were sexually mature, they would flower. The only effective way I've heard of extending flowering is to harvest in stages.

The levels of THC etc. also apparently peak, then decline during flowering.

There is a misconception about plants because flowering time is such a beautiful thing. When a plant begins flowering it's actually the very beginning stages of death so the period can not be extended because after it flowers to it's fullest potential it will die. You can grow a plant in vegatative state for years, but even the longest flowering plant will not exceed 6 months or so of flowering before it begins total death unless you reveg. which I have no idea about.
