Just a quick question I've harvested my og and its finished hanging until stalks snap,I'm left with some lovely nugs now I've removed them from there main stalks ,unfortunately I've got to pass them on to a family member for drying and curing , at the moment there is 100g but it is still wet can any one give me a idea of how much this will Dry to as I need to put my mind at rest so I don't expect more than what I have

If you've hung them to dry they shouldn't be all that wet, so my first thought is you didn't dry them long enough.

When curing the jars need to be opened every now and than to circulate air and remove some of the moisture, prevents mold from forming.

Have you searched through the forum, "Harvesting and Curing"? Most of you questions will be answered there.

How long has it been drying already? I usually figure on ending up with 25% of wet trimmed weight. Depends on a lot of factors including how much you had cut back on water the week prior to harvest. I usually stop watering completely and like droopy fan leaves when I cut. Also how tight you trim and how much large stem you are weighing. So in my opinion there is no real answer that applies across the board.

When the stalk breaks but stays together they are ready. Complete snap means dried to long . bend but no snap means not dry enough... If temps an humidity are ideal 3-5 days to dry then another week or more in air tight mason jars, opened once or twice a day for ventilation. After that you have should have crackle free, white ash when smoked ganja.

Sounds like something didnt happen in the dry process if they are still wet.. But I think you will loose alot of weight once they are 100% dry. Store them in mason jars and keep them cool n dry.

then put them in your jar, and "burp" the jar once or twice a day for 10 minutes.

well..since i dont know exactly how long this plant has been flowering, would you guys say its almost done, or nah?

can you guys see the trichs? are they cloudy enough yet? i want to get a taste of my mutilated grow!

the calyxes are swelling, thats all i know. if i were to estimate, i think its turned 6 or 7 weeks into flower, and i think its a mostly sativa. she smells sweet as hell.

I would not recommend to forgo watering for a week, or 2. the object to curing is to keep them wet as long as possible while avoiding mold and rot. Also an absents of light. Any compromise in this process will do just that: compromise the potential of your finished product. If you are looking to cut down on your drying time; leaving your intact, mature, female plant in complete darkness 24-48hrs after full maturation, will "drain" "sap" back into the soil. In effect, reducing the water in your plant/buds ( why do plants "droop" during the dark period?).

If it helps any, I found when I dry, I lose about 55-60% of the weight to water, but I always forget to weigh the same stuff after curing, sorry.

I offered knowledge from what I had witnessed, not read.
I believe nobody asked questions about his RH and temps, because they did not pertain to the answer he wanted.
The answers I saw were regarding his finished weight, not how long would it take to dry the stuff.
In answer to your question about a bag, you can do whatever you fucking want.
Dry it in a paper bag under your couch if you want, or in your gym bag, I don't care.
You seem to have all your right answers that you want to give out, why not try using some of it?
