So I'm going to try to clone for the 1st time. Any advice? Do's & dont's? I have one of my girls (Lemon G) growing really fast. She's just about 14 (3 inches taller than the rest). She's the one i'm thinking of cloning. I've had them in the Veg. state for about 4 weeks. When I clone do I cut from the top, or bottom?

Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanx

Cut the long wispy shoots from the bottom. Unless you have chosen another method I suggest a McD cloning system. Go to McD and buy the largest drink they have. Toss the drink and keep the glass. Get extra lids while you're there. Tape it all up if you like to keep it even darker. Fill with tap water, insert clone cutting. Then change water every other day at least to keep aerated. In 10 days - 2 weeks you have roots and a clone. Or fuck around with all the BS others will post. Then come back "Why aren't my clones rooting?"

Don't get suckered in to buying cloning stuff you don't need. Also don't spend no more then $10 on rooting gel or powder.

here is what I use. Can get it at lowes Joe pics 012.jpg

All the cloning powders and gels contain butyric acid or a derivative and are intended for use in developing shoot cuttings in the hardwood industry. Don't pay dearly - just look to see if it contains BA and buy it. But my water glass method requires nothing but the water glass and the water in it. KISS!

I have used the cheapo Schulz Rooting Powder in rockwool side-by-side with cuttings not using it. I see no real clear advantage to using it but it doesn't hurt anything so . . . ..
