I certainly wouldn't start growing a bunch of cannabis, and not check out for sure the prices I was going to be able to get.

What that's called is counting your chickens before they hatch. Also... just because one person gets a certain price for what they have doesn't mean that's what I should expect.... but I can't tell you anything you are obviously a genius

The market gets flooded in the fall/winter. My advice is to hold onto your cannabis. Grow the same strain a few cycles and store it up until summer. The market will open back up and you can make a decent score. It's also important that your nugs are as large as possible. You're competing with guys who bring in buds the size of banana or an avocado. So, if you're coming in there with raisin size grapes with no clear trichome production, your ass better just stick to street sales. The money is slower but these type of buyers are more concerned with total weight. You can sell 1gm. bags all day for $10 as a home grower and still be extremely profitable.

Yeah thats a real good idea to save until the prices are high.

Its a flooded market is what it is. everyone and there mom are growing now in hopes of making a legal living off growing. Theres an over flow of product, and also $3200 is on the high end per lb from clubs. dnt expect to go in there once slap your buds down and expect top dollar. Even if the bud was high enough grade for them to pay top dollar, they still probably wouldnt, just on the basis that its your first time trying to bring them anything. If it were me id be selling it outside of legal bounds, if i couldnt stand to profit elsewhere. these "non profit clubs" make quite a bit of the weed they buy, as the old expression goes, buy low sell high, thats what they do. at what 400 an oz, thats fair for the 1500 they payed for the lb. Its not right. I read an artical where an older mid aged women, was using pot to help her(cant remember exactly what, might of been MS?) any way wasnt yet legal in the state,( was and artical advocating medical marijuana). She said she paid 150 a qtr!! yeesh, my draw dropped when i heard that.

Strain has everything to do with whether you can make it selling to clubs in Nor Cal. Ive been growing in the bay area for 7 years,it was incredibly easy in 2006. But so many more people got into it and got really good at it,that without having something that really stands out now you are fucked. Its gotta look phenomenal and test higher than all the other shit in the club.
You gotta either grind it out and go through tons of seeds looking for an elite pheno of a new strain (yes new,old school genetics might be good but that shit cant compete around here). Or you have to find someone that has great strains and pay them a lot of money for something. But no dispensary or online cloner is gonna give you anything that will make selling to a dispensary easy. I know its disheartening but it is what it is.

People that have been growing for a while know that every year there are new growers entering the scene that have intentions of selling to the dispensaries,and the only way to push them out is to have better strains that others dont have access to,and grow them perfectly. The clubs werent try to scam you,they still buy top shelf for $3400. Good luck dude

Bud, I ain't even from the US, but come on seriously, now for a starters, everyone thinks they grow the best shit, you spend a lot of time with ur plants so you now gonna say their shit. From ur pics u don't have anything 'special'.
you can only be on your fourth or fifth grow and ur tryna get top dollar. Growers that have big setups, generally produce better buds of they have a proper setup, vegging for a few months, having enough space for the plant, the fact there's many lights the plants gets light from all angles, the can pull 10-20oz a plant.
U have a 1000w light, yet only yeild 10oz, your not doing something right, even first timers can pull half a key from a 1000w.

im not tryna flame ya, but ya came In saying all this shit, lol, cannabis is no different from any other 'art', I can't grow some vines in my garden and make champagne as good as the French and expect to sell it for $500 a bottle, lmao.

your weed is probably good, but I guarantee you have some serious problems, either deficiencies or environmental, 10oz from 1000w means you've run into problems, even if it is a Kush and not the greatest yeilder, should still hit half a key all day long!

Out of everyone's on the net who's involved in the game, Sub's one of the only people I actually respect, he's a typical grower from way back, very good a what he does but doesn't have to say he's a god, admit he doesn't know everything (no one does!) and praises people that teach him instead of just saying he's better.

this is what the game needs, not a load of trolls growing weed, thinking just cos they've read a book and have a little cash for a grow op, doesn't automatically equal amazing bud!

Keep growing for a few more years, get yourself some decent genetics and not just order some seeds, or if u do atleast search for good phenos, sell to ya mates if ya need cash, and then maybe in a few years, IF your still dedicated, you may be able to command these prices.

Well it looks like, there's plenty of weed for the dispenseries obviously... So they can pick and choose, and offer low prices. Sort of like bringing your watch into a pawn shop to sell...

It also looks like there is plenty of weed for sale in the illegal market at these places cheap.

But I will go with the notion that, you can still get high dollar, if you actually have a really good product.

I cater to people all over the US, and while I have heard some chatter about prices coming down etc.
The price I charge for an ounce is more or less the same now as it was 10 years ago. Which I suppose figuring in inflation, it's went down a bit.
