Poonton? That's Hawaiin for, how shall we say, women with nice personalities that like to eat pork, poi, and manapua too often, right :)?

Hilo do Hawaiians really like Spam like the tourists guides say or is that all bullshit?

We call those fat girls over here and we have a good population of them lol.

A spam musubi before a hike? Munchies? Appetizer? Count me in.

Slices of spam pan fried after a quick soak in a shoyu/sriracha/sesame/brown sugar(had to leave out the secret ingredients, sorry...) marinade of sorts. Nice and crispy outside, delicious by-products inside.

(A musubi is basically spam and a layer of rice wrapped in nori)

Other than that, I basically don't eat spam. My fat ass brothers make the gnarliest breakfasts with spam and everything else you can find in the kitchen, but you won't catch me doing that.

Daaaamn, you got the healthiest, greatest foods and dishes from all over the world and all the mainland US contributed to your cuisine is Spam. Not even something healthy like fried doughnuts the Portuguese brought ya! LOL

So true, Fran, so true. But you can't forget fast-food and the whole "'Merican" cuisine.

I also love me some malasadas :hump:.

Well, I thought she would need time to rebound but there was no apparent stress period and redirection was quick.

In light of whatever I'm doing right (or the soil is...), I'm going to kick her ass one more time before I flower her. I'll get some pictures up later today...

She didn't stress last trimming... I'll be sure to give her a few days of grieving. I also expect the main growth to become rampant very shortly (most secondary growth has been trimmed). She will be under flowering hours by the end of the week.

Take care.

Seems like you trimmed a lot of green foliage, also the shot of the reveg'd bud/stalk is awesome!
Thank you! After looking at the pictures, that does look like a pretty dramatic difference!

I feel like it's necessary, during the learning process, to push more than necessary so as to learn boundaries/limits. With some time she'll come back stronger, indeed. Whether or not the effort/(recovery)time was worth it, is what I'm really after.
You are a monster Hilo! :fire:
I bet me girl thinks that too :(...

Personally i'm a firm believer that green leaves = batteries, and would only trim the growth tips for training, but the results for you so far have been fantastic :)

Well I must agree with you, friend. I believe there are many benefits to having mature foliage. We'll see if I can keep her looking fantastic... Haha!

Sorry for the boring updates, this journal is partially for my own reference also. She took the ass-whoopin' well...
This was taken just before lights out...

This was taken just after the lights came back on (8 hours dark)...

After a few moments, the camera adjusts to this color... Odd...
Enjoy your day.

I don't think Inna Vision was a big hit with the crowd, so let's hear someone much more familiar.
She was foliar fed a seedling soak/mint mash/coconut water (fresh) cocktail and another 1" of EWC/decomposed avocado leaves. I'm making this up as I go... How you like that for organic? Lmao...
CAM00091.jpg
Gathered everything around my house minus the coconut. Found some good ones a few paces down the road. Bottled what? Advanced Killa Krazy Kush Booster Nutrients? No thanks...

Hey Hilo, little ones are looking good so far. Great job! It reminds me I really need to get off my ass and make some veg lights like yours. Anyway I noticed you mentioned coconut water and it's funny because someone just gave me some of that stuff. It's supposedly for drinking but after tasting that foul concoction I can't see a plant liking it either :). It must taste great when you're stranded and dying of thirst but I'll pass. Your coconut water on the other hand is, I'm assuming, fresh and is probably like the difference in the OJ you get at a store and the fresh stuff off the vine. Maybe a line of nutritional organic "POWER WATER!!!!! Plant Performance H2O!!!!!" is in your future? Actually there might be something to that and least it will help get rid of that nasty-ass coconut water you guyz are pushing on us :o! LOL

Peace + Happy Growing Hilo!

Thanks, Fran.

Ya know, my cousin was raised on coconut water... For whatever reason, he couldn't stomach milk and baby formula. Needless to say, he grew up to be a 6'4", 300lb kanak (his parents pale in comparison around 5'5"). Whether or not coconut has anything to do with it- I'll leave that up to anyone whom is reading to decide.

To quote Rrog (and other organic experts):
"Regarding Coconut water is diluted 1:15. 1 Cup and then enough water to make a gallon.

Plant hormones

http://scidiv.bellevuecollege.edu/rk...ormones213.pdf Good Summary of what they do and how.

Coconut is full of hormones. High levels of Indole-acetic-acid (IAA) Cytokinins, Gibberellic acids, Auxins, et al. - everything that a seed needs to create a new plant."

EDIT: Yea, I don't like to drink that shit either lol. Throw in some whiskey and you and your plants will have a grand ole time sippin' out of coconuts... Even the microbes will have something to snack on (natural sugar)...

Chugging along...
CAM00099.jpg
Like a proud dad, I picked my bucket up and swirled it around when I saw it this morning. It's been there overnight and was nice and frothy when I checked on it...
It contains:
Impatiens Walleriana - Flowers
2 halves of a fresh coconut (meat intact)
Molasses
Few sprigs of Spearmint (Wasn't my idea/don't know what it will do... I understand some people use Mint as a pesticide?... I assume it'll do more good than harm...)
CAM00101.jpg

Do I know what I'm doing? No... But it's fun anyway. My shot at an FPE!

Forgot to mention today will be the first day of 12/12...
