Just something I figured I'd share if you're watering from a creek, river, or lake nearby etc.
If you know someone that works in some sort of eatery. Ask them if they can get you one or more of the containers that the fryer oil comes in. They're usually 5 gallon square containers. Made of the same material plastic milk jugs are made of. They're probably twice as thick so they're durable. They have an opening on the top for pouring that's maybe 2 inches around (be sure to get the screw top lids with it)
The cool thing about them are the handles. Unlike buckets that tend to jerk around while you walk due to the way the handles are. These things have a short plastic handle that's actually a part of the top.
I find them much easier to carry anyways. The weight is centered up on the container itself. Not the little metal or plastic handle that it's attached to.

When you say battery pump....do you mean car battery???? Or what? And how loud is it? Oh and how much did you pay for it?

What's the best ways to lug water
or what's some cheap pumps that you can run tube with
or some high end ins if anyone knows?
Im kinda worried about watering that'd be awesome to have a pump pumping the water right near the patch
i was just going to fill up a backpack and put 6 gallon jugs in a back pack and probley have to do two trips to water the patch of 15
so 12 gallons for 15 plans. Would be much easier to just pump the water.

They work great. I was able to find either 2.5 or 3 gallon ones, I forget. Nice I can fit one in my bag and carry the other one in hand.

I'd like to get away from lugging water. Think I am going to try a new method this year. Maybe some kind of reservoir. Even if I still have to haul, I'd rather do it early on when it is cool rather than in July when it's 90 degree out!

I dug a 8 foot deep well hole. It fills up as fast as I take it out up to about the end of july when the water table drops.
Ive been looking into doing a hand pounded well with a hand pump on top. I dont knw if ill ever actually do it but it would be nice

Reservoir camouflaged with drip irrigation out of it. Just a few more pounds of parts and your water is parsed out regularly.

You just set it up uphill right and run the tubing to your spot?
Or if you put it down hill just buy a little pump to pump water out of it?
Iv herd of dudes running tubing for miles.

Uphill and just slightly. The higher it is above the plants (the greater the headspace) the more pressure is exerted on your drip emitters and the faster your res empties.
