Actually nothing has changed. If you read up, this new guy came out of left field and stuck his 2 cents in and started his trolling. So.. I'm inclined to tell him to piss off.

You aren't like that though Bak, you can ask me a simple question like you did above and get the answer. Nothing changed man, I'm still the dude that will be nice to you until you screw with me. You're a pretty nice guy so I feel inclined to be respectful to you. Bak, have I ever given you a hard time? No sir!

And personally, I personally think the small CFL grows (instead of using the word "suck") lack the lighting I need to make the kind of nugs I'm looking for. I could never get a nice tight bud with a small CFL setup. Even the 400w HPS doesn't get nice and tight nugs but the 600's and most definitely the 1000's can make your nugs nice and tight. So in summary, I suppose I'm not really saying "cfl's suck"... I guess what I'm trying to say is I prefer higher power HID's for the better quality of nugs. I will use 250w CFL's in flowering for the blue spectrum combined with my HID HPS lighting. I'm trying to make up for color and not lumen that way.

I don't believe I ever said I didn't like one of your grows. I can't wait for you to get some 1000's some day! You'll love them!

OK, that's cool how you clarified that, because the way you said they suck, and had no positive input to this guy's thread, I didn't feel like you had any respect for CFL users, and that's not how I know you.
And believe me, if I do decide to make a 'dedicated grow area' I will invest in better lighting, but for right now, the CFL's are right for the space, plant, conditions and cost.

I wish the HID's stayed cool like the CFL's though. I can put my hands right on my 250w CFL's. This is something positive that I can say about CFL's.

i hate ppl who come here promoting their HPS. well no shit an HPS would be better. a 400w HPS thows out about 50000 lumens, how many 23w cfls at 1600 lumens each is that? a shit ton. when are u guys gonna learn, ppl dont use cfls because theyre the best, or give massive yields. they use them because it accomodates to there situation at that time(mostly space issues). And hey, if u can grow a fair amount of bud with them for your head stash, why not? And dumbasses advising a 1000w HPS. its a 4 sq ft room, your gonna have major heating issues, and fried plants, another reason hps bulbs arent always ideal for the situation

Exactly. I hate it ppl say you just need to get a HPS or dont waste your time. I am growing and flowering with T5 because HPS was way too hot in the space I have to grow in. CFL and T5 lighting works and works well to flower and there are plently of grows on there that prove it.
