2nd set of leaves

Speed of growth can depend many things, including temperature. If it's 80 degrees under that light, I'd expect to see tiny new leaves emerging from the center of the plant within another couple of days. It'll go a little slowly at first because the plant is developing its root system. Once those roots are laid down (about 3 weeks) then growth can explode.
A plant will grow as slow or as fast as it is genetically able to do provided it receives enough light, water, C02 and nutrients. That picture shows a newly formed "seedling" This phase lasts for approx. 1-2 weeks,(give or take a few days) after which your plant will develope its first "true" leaves. Heres a pic of a plant with it's first set of true leaves.

You are correct. That is the plants first true node and its vegging. Be patient and give it some time and the second will peak out before you know it. All good advice and input so far. Till this....I planted my plant a few days ago and its been 5 days since the first leafs from the pop. Just wondering if anyone can tell me when the second set of leaves for their plant came in. ty.
This is how forum confusion begins. raven from what I see your plants 4th node is about to appear.....and someone should slap you up side the head for putting seedling in quotes and saying this phase last 1-2 weeks.
The seedling stage does last for 2-3 weeks from time of germination. He said his plant was 5 days old from the time it popped the surface. Germintaion is about 3-7 days, another few days to pop the surafce and then approx. 1-2 weeks GIVE OR TAKE A FEW DAYS, to enter full veg mode. That pic is not one of mine, just an example i grabbed to quickly to show what true leaves look like vs pre-leaves.

Yeah the second set will pop soon. The plant looks good in the photo. Exciting time to see new leaf growth!
