Look at this massive bush! this is one of my best "works of art". this was vegged for 6-7 wks under a 2ft 4bulb (100w) t5 and sometimes my 150w hps was added in for even more lumens.

top'd twice.
supercrop'd
LST'd

these pics were taken just b4 the 24hr lights out period i do b4 switching to 12/12.

looks great and has a nice scent to it.

thanks a lot guys i appreciate the kind words. its my first go at it w/ this setup so i was surprised it turned out so nicely thus far.

id be willing to say its the best looking plant ive ever had in at the end of veg. i feel i LST'd it perfectly (even canopy).

I left it in 24 darkness and upon turning the lights back on there were already very tiny pistils BARELY coming out from the main colas at the highest point. too small to pick up w/ my cell camera but they are definitely showing.

im VERY excited right now. last night started the first day of 12/12 (i run my lights from 5p to 5a)

i have my 150w hps and 2ft 4bulb t5 making like an arrow (both diagonally hanging on either side of the plant). id like to make better use of the 2ft 4bulb t5 (like laying it perfectly on its side so it spreads light throughout the plant) but i cant seem to get it in that position AND have it sturdy. so i decided not to push my luck.

ill try to update w/ pics from time to time if this thread stays active :)

I'm growing a flowering critical jack too bro, it went pretty much 12/12 from seed but is now in maybe its 5th week alive and 2nd week flowering?? Maybe between the 1st and 2nd week! Either way, I'm anxious to see your work progress bro.
Goor work so far and good luck with the finish boss :joint:

well post ur pics here too :)

id love to see how far along you are. tonight at lights on i'll be snapping a couple more pics of it. doubt the pistils can be seen on my camera but we'll see how it goes.

im anxious to see what kinda traits my plant has going into flowering. im HOPING for a jack herer high w/ a critical+ yield. i expect at least 3-4 oz's from this plant. (im using nearly 250w of lights and i think 20,000+ lumens)

this is very exciting.

have you grown any other dinafem gear before???

I'm growing a Dinafem Blue Widow and it's is blossoming like an absolute CHAMPION. In the past week alone it's pack on an UNBELIEVABLE amount of frost.
And Is your Critical Jack Dinafem? Mine's from Delicious Seeds. It was a freebie with an Attitude order back in October or so.

And tonight it 5 weeks since my garden has been on 12/12 so I'll be snapping some pics tonight bro!
I've got 9 flowering plants all in various stages lol and I'm hoping that I end up with a pound or at least 12 ounces from all everything.
Everything will be finished sometime in April I'm guessing, with the first coming down in about a month!

We got a similar set up to so maybe my harvest might give you some kind of general idea. I've got 2 150w HPSs and a T5HO and lots of CFLs :leaf:

oh i c. mine is from dinafem. i thought yours was too. i wasnt aware there are two different breeders using that strain name. mine is supposed to be a cross of jack herer and critical+.

even tho we have different breeders' genetics id still be interested to see how urs turns out as ive been interested in delicious seeds for awhile but never made a purchase.

ive not grown blue widow from dinafem. i grew white berry from paradise which i hear is pretty similar (blueberry and white widow also). so if u like blue widow u might like the white berry.

also dinafem has lots of great gear from my experience. critical+ is top notch for big yields of heady smoke (if pulled at the right time) and original amneisa (a KNOCKOUT. good yield and super duper potent)

Looking very healthy good work! what nutes u useingforher?
up to this point ive only fed fox farm grow big (the green bottle...its their veg nute solution). ill feed w/ tiger bloom during flower and supplement w/ a little veg nutes (grow big) as needed (ie. when the most bottom leaves begin to yellow)

thats all im gonna use. i may use molasses at the end of flowering (i do that off and on for some grows)

id like to switch to a line that is all organic and just as easy to use but no luck as of yet so im sticking w/ what works lol.

i used kellogg soil (i forget which variety now) instead of ocean forest. the seedlings arent usually happy in the kellogg soil but in a week or two they get happier which is odd since most complain ocean forest is too "hot" for seedlings. this mix is too low in nutes imo.

ill be going back to ocean forest but this certainly is a better substitute than miracle grow

is another Jack, about 3 weeks into veg. Freebie from Attitude. Topped about a week ago and LST started a few days ago. Really a vigorous grower, one of the best looking out of a few AK-48's, a couple White Rhinos and a Blue Rhino. A nice light almost lime green. Lighter green than the AK's in the room and more sativa like leaf shape.

Looking forward to flowering and harvest.

Thanks for posting. I haven't seen too many people growing it. Seems it has been going around as a freebie with orders. Glad I planted it.

I had 2 Critical jacks dinafem hermie on me :( i had her topped to four and was looking like a great yielder. i was pretty upset. the blue widow on the other hand grew out amazing., finished with 20% amber at 58 days. with strong strong blueish purple leaves on the cola tops. so beatuful, and the smell is like bubblegum or some kind of edible candy u just wanna eat..
oh and absolute rock hard colas. i could throw a cola at you, and it would hurt no doubt

is this critical jack from delicious or dinafem?

EDIT: Nvm. got my answer. lol

i grew jack 33 from ch9 but it didnt turn out too well. idk if it was a bum seed or wat but it was a nightmare regarding nutes...i couldnt figure that strain out for the life of me.

These pics are from last night (remember my lights on are at 5p and off at 5a. today (at lights on) she will be watered and fed. im considering a 50-50 tiger bloom (flower nutes) and grow big (veg nutes) thoughts? or should i just feed flower nutes only? enjoy the pics more on the way ;)

pics from last nite right before i watered it ^^

it was fed 1tsp of tiger bloom (flowering nutes) and 1tsp of grow big (veg nutes) per gal of water. fed 3 gals of water (last feeding 2 gals was BARELY enough)

more updates to come :)

Looks nice and healthy. I feed only veg nutes for the first 2 weeks after switching to 12/12. I find it helps reduce the stretch. After 2 weeks I introduce bloom nutes at a third of what's called for. I start cutting back on grow nutes as flowering time increases. Feeding N up until week 6 of flower.

thanks for the compliment! :)

and call me skeptical but doesnt feeding N in the beginning of flowering encourage more stretch??? im only feeding half/half because ive had adverse effects if i feed full bloom nutes from the first sign of pistils...so i go 50/50 till i get more pistils showing.

im surprised its stayed so lush and green this whole time.

i may have to trim back a few more fan leaves since they are so HUGE (like far bigger than my hand and everyone says i have really big hands)...idk how hopeful that description is but yeah.

and by trim them back i mean cut half off of a fan leaf to allow more light penetration w/o disturbing the plant too much

I'm not sure if feeding N causes more stretch. I feed it until the first flowers appear. Then I put the bloom nutes to them. Still feeding N around a tsp per gallon. I keep this up until the end of week 6. If yellowing persists after week 6 I will give them a small shot of N. I've taken some pretty smart folk's advice here on RIU. Keep em" green! It works for me.
