Alright...

Sorry for the lack of updates... midterms coming up!

Here are the 5 bitches that survived.. Gave them a good watering tonight (plain water only)

:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

middle and front right = Blockhead x AK-47

Other three = Querkle.

As you can see the Querkle in the back right corner is larger than the others..

I transplanted it about 4-5 days before the others (Had to go out and buy pots!)

:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

BIG NEWS: Got a 400 Lumatek digital ballast.. got it running at 430 Super Lumens boost or whatever.. about 18 inches off the plants.. my temps were maxing out last night at 30degrees C.. so I don't want to go much closer yet as they are still tiny and fragile

I'm running 12/12 now as I want to sex them early and transplant whatever fem-aliens I got into larger pots.. too bad I couldn't get more growth off of them.. oh well.. I'll likely take a few cuttings and do another quick run before May - Outdoor time!

All the rest were transplanted maybe a week or so ago into a mixture of:
1 - organic soil
2 - peat moss,
3 - perlite,
4 - vermiculite,
5 - dolomitic lime,
6 - bone meal,
7 - greensand,
8 - mixture Hi-P and Hi-N bat Guano

Pictures... :-P:-P

not trying to sound like a dink but they arent looking great for thier age....

did you have a stunt in growth due to the issues before or are they still growing really slow?

only being honest and trying to help...theres something going on and we need to fix it to get them girls growing at a normal pace.

from looking back it seems you panted around the 15th of Dec and prob had some sprouts by no later than the 20th..its been 5-6 weeks they should be much bigger. you running DIY CO2? they still look abit overwatered and possible over/under fertilized...leaning more towards underfertilized.

....im stumped. they are in fairly large pots so maybe they are just developing roots and will explode soon...

I feel im having growth issues with my plants too and they were born on the 10th of Dec. so were pretty close on age but i have much more growth than you do. and its def not 10 days worth lol. not trying to parade or gloat just comparing and thinking....anyways....im stoned...let me know what you think.

oh and dump the super lumens setting its not helping they are far too small to need that extra push. your just beating on your bulb.

Hey Matt..

No worries, I always appreciate the advice.

Believe it or not they have exploded over the past 2 weeks.. I had the 250w WAY too close up until about 2 weeks ago.. I was away for most of December etc.. blah blah.. Rookie mistake but had the 250 about 6 inches over the seedlings.. basically I was frying them... and too busy and stupid to figure it out..

I think I'm on the right track now... I'll check them today and see how the little ones are responding to the 400....

I've got the bulb at 430 because the hydro shop I bought it off of guarantees their bulbs for 1 year no questions asked (as long as you have the receipt and they mark the date stamp at the base of the bulbs, didn't know those date stamp thingees were there... did you?)

So no harm in beating up the bulb as far as I'm concerned.. plus the MH's are only about $30.00 with the 1 year warranty.

Just a quick update to show the growth now that I have them potted and under the 400.. they seem to be loving the 400 so far!

Added an AACT I had brewing for about 36 hours..

had bone meal, Hi-N Guano, green sand and molasses. Smelled earth enough today and was foaming nicely (don't know if foaming means shit but makes me think that something is happening) added this to all the ladies with a little bit of water to wash it down...

I'll likely hold off on the AACT's for the next month or so..

Can't wait for these to sex although it will likely be a while..

More foam means more activity from your mycos..... I hate when it foams over and gets shit everywhere lol

they seem pretty established now..you will be surprised to see how fast they grow. i think you just underestimated the delicacy of seedlings with your lighting. they are looking great though.

I didn't add the myco's until the end... (I heard that letting them brew for more than 24 hours the bacteria will much them all up because they require root exudates to survive)

Just curious more than anything else do you know what else causes the foaming? I'll ask my microbiolgy professor on Thursday.. she already thinks I'm crazy asking her all kinds of shit about soil microbes at the end of every lecture. :eyesmoke:

well there are gases created, wastes, and a ton of other things going on, foam makes sense to me:D when have you ever seen biologically active water thats not foamy? hell even my turtle tank has some foam. air+water+amphiphile molecules=foam (just wiki foam and amphiphile, think biologically, waste is your amphiphiles)

Growth has really taken off now.. I'm pretty happy.. This is only 3 days I believe between the last photos.. The Querkle in the back right is just thriving.. I think I'm even seeing pre-flowers (I hate to flip these so early, likely won't be able to take full advantage of the genetics but I got to sex them so I can transplant what I have to bigger pots..)

temps are running 26-28 degrees (78-82.00 F) lights on.. but 13.5-14 on lights off (56-58 F).

You think dropping below 15 (60 for all you backwards Americans) is a problem?

They are even starting to smell ....mmmmmm :mrgreen:

And then there were three :(

One Querkle - DEAD :cuss:

One AK-47 X Blockhead - DEAD :cuss:

Remaining:

2x Querkle

1x AK-47 X Blockhead. :leaf::bigjoint:

However given probabilities I probably couldn't ask for better stochastic gene flow..

Glad I have at least 1 of each strain

On still hasn't shown sex: Guess I should've taken pics of my female flowers.. but my pictures suck anyway!

One Querkle and definitely the Ak-47 are showing pistil growth

Peace
