Is This 10 Watt LED Good Enough to Grow?

Hell yea, those little spotlights look awesome, although you'd probably need a few of them and that could get expensive. $60 for 10W is a pretty poor ratio, you could make something similar yourself with more wattage for cheaper. Just mho.

yeah those should work, It will take about 10 of them tho, walmart has a 6 pack of 13 watt CFL's for $0.53 per pack. so that is less than .10 per bulb, instend of $60

So, if I bought one of these bulbs, would it provide enough light for a single plant in that space? I'm not trying to buy more than one of these things, so if one isn't enough I'll look into other sources of lights.

No.

General consensus:
40W/ft^2

You're grow space:
2ft x 2ft = 4ft^2
4ft^2 (40W/ft^2) = 160W

10W could flower a single plant that's maybe 10" tall with an expected yield of maybe a half-oz. You're probably looking at a grow space the size of a PC case.

You would be a rock star in my eyes if you got 1/2 oz of dryed bud with a 10w led. .... It could grow a plant, but you can buy a used 400 watt MH shop light off craigslist for under $50

or some cheap-o cfl's from walmart.

Lowes has the new 22w actual (100w equiv) Remote Phosphor (RP) with 1600 lumens for $35. Going to buy one today to add to my other bulbs

Here's my led vanity fixture in action

Agreed,

start with some CFLs, Google CFL grow light and check out the images to get an idea of how to build your light setup.

Steer away from any LEDs under $100. If they're under $100 they're usually crap. If they're over $100 you're paying too much for what you're getting.

In other words.. go with CFLs or HID

those lights are a rip off. Look on ebay for a lot buy if you can afford it.
If your response is directed at mine, then you do not know what the hell you are talking about. I have a complete journal over on IC, growing from seeds - harvest under both an HOT5 AND my 'rip-off' bulbs. Now, they can be a rip-off, IF, you don't know what to look for before you buy.

There's a lot of gold to be had under $25 per bulb, but many internet sites are charging way too much for what they are selling. Buyer be Aware
