Full On Lagalization

The attitude of "I'll only support this" is what is going to hamper this movement. Med users are a minority and if this is going to work you'll need to get people on board who don't use pot. If you tell them how much money the proposal is going to raise for whatever (schools, roads, etc.) they'll be much more likely to sign your petition and vote in your favor. This isn't going to be about industrial hemp either. It's about consumable cannabis and money associated with it.

I think many of us here share differing views. We just need to sit down and share sacrament :bigjoint:

I think this may be a good place to propose some wording and begin dialog for something we can all walk away with.

The signature campaign would then logically follow with that wording attached.

i think there was alot of bs with him at 3ma.he runs the jackson market and he is very active in the mmmp..ill hold personal thoughts for the better of the act .someone has to grab the bull by the horns
Yeah, we need to put our personal conflicts aside and join forces or just get our asses kicked by our true enemies. I still aint all in till I see the wording and am sure we are all being spoken for. Is there any wording that anybody feels necessary?

I think:

We definitely need marijuana distribution centers run by Michiganders. No outsiders coming from Canada etc...

Commercial grow ops owned and operated by Michiganders must be 1 year resident. License shouldn't be any more expensive than a license to operate a similar alcohol related facility... Maybe even much less if we can only max at 99 plants....

At least 14 plants per person for home grow ops. Would allow for 2 moms and 12 plants to veg and flower. No limit to number of people who can grow per home.

Medical patients can buy marijuana and marijuana products at recreational distribution centers.

Any biz that can sell beer/wine/tobacco should be allowed to sell marijuana.

Marijuana smoking should be allowed in coffee shops and clubs etc. and adults over 21 should be allowed to smoke together.

Tinctures and BHO and RSO and other concentrates should be legal.

No inspections on home grow ops.

Seeds, stems, spent plant material (tumbled trim, vape duff etc.), roots, roaches, are not usable plant material and should not count as weight if we decide to have a limit.

Outdoor grows legal by the same basic standards that we now have for medical grows. 5 sides and fastened to the ground etc.

I'm sure I'll think of more but it's a start...... Feel free to add to this list or offer constructive criticism.

There are still many recreational users out there that would like to see marijuana go legal. I have lots of friends who smoke weed but never got their card. Many could easily get their cards too. Sad thing is that they were kind of right. Then again so were we when we started paving the way for legalization!

How about a provision that bans discrimination of marijuana users by employers, doctors, etc in Michigan?

i disagree-

this is all about the commercial hemp. smokable weed isn't worth one dime compared to it, especially if it were legal. smokeable cannabis would be every where.

That is true, we must include hemp farming into the equation. Maybe some ethanol like subsides for true family farming :weed:

Hell, I'm no affirmative action fan, but let's give some poor black kids from Detroit 40 acres & a mule and have at it :bigjoint:

The township told him that he can't be a caregiver in his location.

There is a claim that the obnoxious orders from growing pose health problems for neighbors.

Carbon scrubbers are used to clean the exhaust air.

On the date of the latest complaint, the real source was determined to be a skunk.

Dutch does not believe it is his responsibility to equip the wild animal with the proper equipment.

Meanwhile .. the township has pulled Mike into court a few times. The twp. claims to have the legal ability to tell him he can't grow. Primary reason: the smell.

Full Legalization ? , maybe that needs to be reevaluated , when the SC handed down that ruling I started checking out the way its working in Colorado , tell me how a caregiver is going to make a living if that happens in MI . This is America where a person is supposed to profit from their labor , anything less should not be acceptable , maybe the caregivers rights should be the focus .

My goal from the beginning has been to move to MI , get my card and start growing my 12 plants and make RSO for health reasons . Being broke is my major problem , I could see that becoming a caregiver would give me the ability to help other patients and make some money in the process , why should anyone that is in the health care business not expect to make a profit ? What I see and I must say it is hard for me to understand the fact that caregivers are not taking advantage of the rights that are legal , take greenhouses for example , if its legal then why not do it , I for sure would have one in place as soon as the weather breaks , if LEO crosses' the line file a lawsuit , we need to use the law , not be afraid of the law , caregivers need to be united , should they enter into the political arena ? Yes they should , there should be a list of people that are bad for MI , and it should be shouted from the roof tops THESE PEOPLE ARE BAD FOR MI .

Why not have a caregivers group that actually cares about the caregivers rights and the patients rights , stop the hiding in the closets and basements , make sure that the laws are followed by the caregivers and even more important make sure LEO follows the laws also , instead of us worrying about being taken to court we need to use our courts to protect our rights that is why they are there in the first place . If they want to try and screw us over , file a lawsuit , this is America or have we let that go to shit also ?
