My plants need a once over from an experienced grower!

Help please! One of my plants is yellowing extensively from the bottom up, the overall color of the plant is turning yellow. The other plant in the Smart Pot looks alot better, yet shows sign of over feeding! I'd like to get some opinions on what might be causing this.

Strain: Nirvana's Master Kush
Soil: FFoF
Lighting: CFL
Temp: 85-90(Peak)
Containers: 1 Plastic Pot, 1 Smart Pot
Nutes: Botanicare Pro Bloom, Liquid Karma. (Both plants have had the exact same feeding once a week.) No Grow forumla used...
Week 4: 1/4 Strength
Week 5: 1/2 Strength
Week 6: 1/2 Strength
Week 7: Full Strength

These plants are in the middle of Week 8. (Started flowering at week 4)

Flash off. In person those fan leaves at the bottom look almost white as opposed to yellow. Nitrogen deficiency?

Side by side, Plastic left, Smart Pot right. Notice right plant is considerably darker.
Main cola on the right of the smart pot. The dark green color of it + the burnt leave tips indicate nutrient burn???, perhaps from my last feeding at full strength?

Clearly the same feeding schedule in these 2 different pots won't work... This is the extent of my knowledge, i don't know how to fix this. Hopefully I won't loose these plants. I can get specific shots of the plants/leaves if need be. My instincts tell me to cut the feeding on the smart pot plant, then bring it down to 1/4 - 1/2 strength and does the plastic container-ed plant with nitrogen on top of the bloom nutes at 1/4 to 1/2 strength.
Any help is appreciated.

looks like high ec in the root zone check the run off after feeding if it is .3 higher than what your feeding then flush check ph as well if thats off you will be locking out an element get those to readings thats your starting point and go from there.

fox farm ocean forest especially west coast i hear has issues. they have been "outsourcing". but hey your on week 8, when are you going till? it might be a good idea just to let the lady do her thing and slowly backoff your regime.

Aye, thanks wazzer. I don't currently have an ec meter. I have an GH PH control kit though. I've never tested the run off before for PH.

So a high EC (.3 higher then the feed) indicates built up salts? Or unused nutrients? Or in general to much toxicity?

This same problem also happened during my last grow... I could'nt figure it out then so im hoping I can get a grip on this. The smart pot seems to be doing alot better for sure.

and also, after the second week of a plant being transplanted its a good idea to start adding nutes. i dont use botanicare so am not sure of how good the N dosage is on the flowering stage, so maybe next try a 1/4 dose of veg feed every 2-4 feedings. if you think its a cal mag thing, by all means grab some cal mag and dose that in there.
as for now, i would just keep letting off the nute dose and let her rip.

Im on the east coast. I've also been using the same bag for 3 grows now. (1 bag has gone along way with my setup)

As far as I can tell it should go for 4 more weeks, give or take. Hairs on the plants are beginning to color now. With my last feeding I did back off the nutes to 1/4 strength.

Thanks nizza, ive decided to just back off with the nutrients and let them run there course this time. Going to order a bottle of cal-mag and an ec meter this weekend for the next grow, as it sounds like its a pretty vital supplement to have around. I do belive i'll be switching to smart pots completely now too. This is the 2nd plant that has yellowed in those green plastic containers, gonna cut my losses and go fabric.

UPDATE: I just checked the run off of the Master Kusk in the green plastic pot (waited till it was bone dry). It read 5.0

This is, from what I understand out of soil range(6.2 - 7). So does this mean I have salt built up that has made the root zone toxic? What steps should I take to get the ph back up to the optimal range so my plants can take up nutrients again??
