there is an achievement gap, just google it. it is not a melanin based thing, it is a centuries worth of persecution thing.What acheivement gap? I wasn't aware I was better off than my peers because I am white. To say blacks are less capable of achievements without special consideration is racist.
I know why people have oppressed and segregated ethnic groups in the past but why should we continue to stereotype and treat people as different today?
it's not a stereotype, the centuries of persecution actually happened and the effect still remains with us.
how is it wrong to try to fix the achievement gap?So you say two wrongs make a right? I say the past cannot be fixed but the present can.
we can not change the past, but we can and owe it to ourselves to acknowledge it and what effects it has had. and yes, we can mitigate and ameliorate the effects of the past.
