I'm also about to start some in rockwool then to HF. My question is if I'm going to
germinate in the rockwool, do I set the ph as the same as the soil or differently?

Really, tap? I can't use ro like I wanted, but I was thinking of using distilled ph'd at 6.5, same as soil, and superthrive.
Is this not good?

Hey Trippy,

On my first grow which is currently in its 1st week of Flower, I started out in Rockwool and transferred into soil. I used, and still using distilled water. And the 3 girls I have flowering are growing strong and without any issues.

I hope this helped.


Edit: I did have issues early on but it was a Cal/Mag deficiency as I wasn't supplementing. Once I started adding cal/mag, my plants look beautiful.

I used the paper towel method and my PH was about 7.0.

i like to start seeds directly in soil. just dont let the soil dry out

Any thoughts on the superthrive?

i wouldnt use superthrive yet. the seed has all the things it needs to setup, and it doesnt take well to additions at this stage.
