Anyone in the Emerald Triangle?

Hey guys im on the search to move out to the beautiful triangle and be on my way to live self sufficient on a plot of land. I understand it would take alot of time and work to get completely there but my girlfriend and I have came to the conclusion it would be a very fulfilling life to do this and want to dedicate some time to this. Of course I would also like to be a caregiver for a few patients and make a diference on someone elses life with some high quality california sun grown medicine.

Let me get to my point, if anyone in the emerald triangle knows anyone associated with a collective or a group of people who live in a similar way I want to get an idea of the process of getting there.

Ive also heard there are homesteads of people who live off the grid and was wondering if there are any who produce medicine as we would enjoy spending a year or two living and caring for the land to get a better grasp of their everyday life.

its three countys in Northern California (humboldt, trinity, mendocino) that make up the weed capitol of the US where some of the finest outdoors crops come from because of its perfect weather and location. filled with thick forests and a very pro mj outlook.

They had to start selling something after the lumber mills closed. The central valley farmland would be a better area to grow once legalization happens.
