So surely you can point me to Reagans authorization for bombing Libya
How about Grenada?
Surely you can find congressional votes to support those "wars"...right?
What do I care what The Gipper did? We're talking about NoBama. You need to keep up, brah.

That’s true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such.” ~Ron Paul

if you haven't seen this film, i envy you.
How so? It can't be worse than "The Cave," or "The Ruins." Those are the standard.

I've also seen "Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom." If you haven't seen that one, you can thank me later. Also, if you haven't seen it, no cheating and looking it up. Just watch it.

no dude, shittiest movie of all time has got to be Beyond The Black Rainbow.

shot in 2010,, the film looks feels and sounds like a supremely terrible B movie from the early 70's.
the soundtrack was lifted from the 1974 film Phase IV (dissonant electronic beeping and too much discordant moog organ and theramin)
the "film" was shot digitally, and then altered to make it look like antique worn out filmstock, with fake artifacts, phony flicker, a deliberately muddy coulor palette, poor aperature control and shitty lighting ensuring that every scene is both over and under exposed, costuming and makeup by a local clown college dropout, set dressing that look like somebody won a shopping spree at the local salvation army, and a script that can only be charitably called "disjointed, indecipherable and most likely the result of severe lead poisoning or fetal alcohol syndrome"
Spoiler Alert: the twist ending is amazingly trite. youll know how the "movie" will end about 4 minutes into the opening credits, which would be better described as the "Opening Indictments"

i Double Dog Dare you to watch the whole thing (no fast forwarding) and then claim any other movie is as bad.

also, remember to keep in mind the entire time, it was actually filmed in 2010, not 1974.
honestly. 2010.

the award for the most disappointing film based on a great novel goes to Relic.

a great book, transformed into the worst piece of shit movie ever committed to celluloid. as a film, it is terrible on so many levels, but the greatest travesty is the destruction of the source material.

the book was badass, well researched, chilling and terse. the author transports you to the edge of terror. do NOT see the movie, but totally do read the book.

Relic
by Douglas Ppreston and Lincoln Child

i give it 4 stars.
as a counterpoint,
Sphere by michael chrichton
represents a shit book made into a passable film. not a good film by any stretch of the imagination, but so much better than the book i was stunned.
Sphere was absolute shit. the first 2/3 was awesome, and had me hooked, the last 1/3 was the end of some completely different book slapped on to make publishing deadlines.

i give Sphere by michael chichton -3 stars. he should feel ashamed.

Doc,

You didn't make any comments on Salo. That movie is a classic.

Again no cheating if you haven't seen it. I want a Youtube of that expression. 2 girls, one cup, ain't got shit on Salo.

Ps,

I don't believe you've seen either The Cave, or The Ruins.
