You are doing it the right way, brother. Wish we could be of more help, but damn, there's a lot of variables.

In 2001, the United States Supreme Court decided that performing surveillance of private property (ostensibly to detect high emission grow lights used in clandestine cannabis farming) using thermal imaging cameras without a search warrant by law enforcement violates the Fourth Amendment's protection from unreasonable searches and seizures. Kyllo v. United States, 533 U.S. 27, 121 S.Ct. 2038, 150 L.Ed.2d 94 (2001).[SUP][4][/SUP]

I don't worry about it.
I need to tape that to my ceiling.

I'm sure there's a lot of renters on here that can help you out. I read somewhere, that renting poses a higher risk level because of the landlord tenant contract. Basically, they can come into your place anytime they want. Personally, I would worry more about that than helicopters. Matter of fact, I would not grow under those living conditions. But I'm positive many on here live in apartments and have no issues.

Never rented apartments. But I have rented several homes in the past. They're suppose to give you heads up that they need to enter the premises. But they don't need your permission once they give notice. In complexes where things are all attached, this can be thing like fire inspections, plumbing issue next door, hvac work on multiple units, list goes on and on.

Not to freak you guys out, but here is a copy of one of my leases from way back... #14 Section B.

If you have a hot spot on your roof where the snow rapidly melts first, then you have a problem. Otherwise not.
