Well it's a lot of work, especially for stoners. I am sure if this was about grafting coca bushes we'd already have fields of grafted plants stretching to the horizon.

Grafting cannabis plants is nothing new. The OP was right on in his original post. Helps plant count, multiple strains one mother pot yada yada. Its really not that much harder than cloning. Do a search, there are at least a few threads on RIU covering this exact subject. Maybe start with the term 'root stock'....

So eventually you have to learn from others. While googling and searching the forum gives information, as ninjabowler said it's fun to watch along as someone tries something you are interested in. You have time to talk to them and give and take input. Lot's of fun.

possible it'll be successful? quite so, as long as the requirements of the grafted pieces meet the main shoot's requirements.. if not, you will see some high, some low.. some potentially wilting - all part of the learning game. I do happen to agree that how an annual works makes this a 1 trick pony show, can't magically re-design the plant to spawn with 6 varieties every time a bean germinates...but it's pretty kick ass & for the sake of science so I'm curious what results

Who knows but for now we got his thread and theres people subbed. I really dont think hed mind if we started posting our experiments, thats why he started it, to pass on knowledge on the topic. Old italian men have been doing this in their back yards on apple and pear trees forever, it cant be that hard for a couple nerds like us
