I am not new to this and yet I still seem to be failing. I raped my wallet and busted my old ass to make a happy environment for my girls and each day they just sit there lookin' up at me like "whaddya want from me?".
Allow me to thrust forth some details so that my errors may come to light. I acquired 40 nice feminized indica seeds and most sprouted up nice and proper. I'm thinking "holy s*@t, its like Christmas morning and I'm 6 again, G.I JOE kung-fu grip, etc, etc...
Please understand I have been waiting YEARS for this grow.
These were started in MANNA MIX which was highly acclaimed by the merchant as suitable for seedlings. Never used so I am skeptical. 16 oz beer cup with drainage. I water every few days as the medium becomes dry with tap water left out for 24 hours. This water should be room temp right? Why does it feel very cold if it has been sitting at room temp?
They are put under a 600W MH and treated with shameless coddling- even cooing at them "and how are we today my precious little girlsprout?" and other such nonsense.
There is a quite powerful inline fan pulling air out of the large closet . With the fan off I run too high-upper 80's. But with it off I run too low- 69, 70. So i have it on timer to turn off and on every 1.5 hours and temps stay between 70-80.
The lamp is about 12 inches above plants.
Obviously I need to take a pic which i will do tonight. It has to be the soil or the water. These plants look the same almost as they did on day 3 and they are 8 days old. So now instead of being nice around the house I have resorted to child -like whining and even called my wife a pig-woman. Please help. This is serious.

Lol. I have to come back to this thread just for the way you word things. Give my best to pig-woman.

Thank you for the replies. Here are some pics. This is only their temporary home so space will not be an issue. They have not been given anything except water.

Mine did the same thing, but I had the soil to packed and water was not draining well and the roots were suffocating.

Be carful about hotspots with that reflective surface, something a little more mottled will prevent them. A hot spot could fry a little sprout like that real quick.

Seedlings take time to generate root growth, you will not see any growth for some time 'till their roots are fully formed, have patients, make sure your soil is not too compacked and has good drainage.

They are only 8 days old. have patience.

Also... you are gonna run out of room REALLY fast.

Way to waste like 30 seeds.

This is correct have patients they will take off soon and oh yea, hope you have some friends you can give some of those to. They look fine.

The only thing I can see that might hurt your plants is the 600 watt lamp being so close to the seedlings. I usually use cfls for my very young ones and after they get about 6 inches or so with good roots, then I put them under the MH. If you have to water every couple of days then they are going through a lot of water.

They look good to me. Like others said, they are working on roots. That first week or so is painfully slow, but they WILL take off. I'd back your light off a bit, maybe 2 feet away. They don't need TOO much light at that size.

lol why did you germ every seed? Damn what a waste. They are young, give them time. They grow slow for the first week or so then it picks up. From the looks of it you're going to have your hands full.

I agree... For seed plants, you really can't cram more than 9 plants MAX under a 600 watt light. And that'll be crammed. That 600 watter is best for about a 3x3 to 4x4 area. Unless you do 12/12 from seed (never done it, but some seem to get good results), those plants are going to want AT LEAST one square foot each.

For seed plants, I like to run 4 under a 600 watt HPS. Over crowding will lead to things like powdery mildew and small/crappy/larfy yields. Been there, done that, learned my lesson.

First, most all store employees want your money, not your success.
Next, even if you let water sit to evap chlorine, and get to room temp, it can/ will be cold if you have your container sitting on the floor.
Leave your fan on all the time while your lights are on, I actually leave mine on 24/7.
Above 82-85 can cause fluffy buds.70 is NOT too low.
It took me several consecutive days of 38-42 to see a visible slow in growth and a P lockout.

Did you guys not read his post about this. He planted all these because he has been waiting 2 years for this and busted his wallet for it. Thats why he planted and is ready for all this. I am ready to see what happens.
