ok so im planning on running 300w of cfl under 18/6 for about 1 week then 12/12 the rest of the month.

168w cfl 18/6 probably 24/7

And 92w cfls 12/12
Every so often.

ESTIMATING how much would my monthly bill be. (MORE)

MAYBE JUST SCRATCH OFF THE LAST 92.

idk my cents per kw yet but
I would like an estimate from least to greatest.
Please and thank you in advanced

take your total watt's x's say $.15 cents per kw/h, x's the time you have them on per day, either 18 or w/e, then x's that by 30 days, the number of days in the billing period to get your total..

btw, say your total is only 600 watts for ex, that would only be .6 kw/h since a kilowatt is 1 thousand watts.. 500 watts total would be .5 kw/h, etc, etc, etc... :D

just plug in your numbers to get your price..

Ok so were I live they charge $0.12 per kwh.
I think that's okay =D
so my normal apartment bill comes up too 80$ that's without growing. And I like the dark plus just open windows when it's day time =D
So 300w I would be running 12/12
Mostly
So it would be:
.3X$.12=0.036
0.036X12=0.432
0.432X30=
Total of =12.96
A month awesome =D
But that's just 12/12.

And just 1 cab lol.
Thanks for the quick response razorboy17

Ya, I figured about 10-15 bucks for mine, I run 305w and 2 fans.

So running both setups and running all watts at the same time.
Total of 468w
For 12 hours
Then 168w for 6 more hours
plus fans im looking at 20$ a month for the setup.

Haha thanks..
Now if this were to be hps
400w it would be a little more right because it's hps.
It would it count as the same.
Just wondering I only got cfls

nah m8, 400 watts is 400 watts... kind of like the old saying which weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of bricks?? :D
but hps do draw a bit more due to the ballast drawing current as well.. but i'd think it'd be a pretty samll amount ..

So in this case im better off with a 400watter.
Only reason I switched to cfls is because of heat and light bill.
But if it's gonna run me the same might as well go back to hps.

If you understood your problem you wouldn't have to start this thread. I doubt you pay the energy bill.

Not too shabby at all. Not accounting for your soil/hydro/nutes/ hardware, 25-30 bucks a month to enjoy some homegrown 100grams-200+grams a harvest, depending on your success? Hell, beats spending that 25-30 on just a few grams!
