Nice looking girls
Thanks jhod. glad you stopped by to check out the girls.

Joe Dirt lol

I am pretty stoked for that Ken's GDP...
Joe Dirt was a funny one, haven't seen that movie in a long time. i remember it cracked me up. will have to revisit that one soon. yeah can't wait to see what the kgdp does. But the way the clones are going, i'm actually more excited for the cherry pie!

Yup, just depends on the size, strain, etc.

I got some free samples at the hydro store of some foliar feed and I tried it out this morning. You are still supposed to continue feeding with base nutes as normal and just use it a few times a week. We'll see what it does, I don't plan on using it the whole grow but if i can tell a noticeable difference it might be worth looking into more. I like that you don't have to ph the mix before spraying and can do it with lights on. pretty cool, i'll keep you guys posted. here's the link: http://www.opticfoliar.com/

Pics later this weekend. I'm thinking not much longer before I have to flip to bloom, I need these ladies to be harvested before end of April. they should be about 8 weekers.

No word, haven't even called them. sorry been lagging on that. but i think i'll be calling them up soon to get another AT120 so i'll ask about anything new on the horizon.

I think they already have a strain out there somewhere called Ice Cream. Can't find much online about it but I think I've heard of it before. Dessert names just make it sound so delicious, how could you not want something called Caramel Chocolate Seduction?

Ok, after a month of veg and a bunch of lost clones, the girls are entering 12/12 tonight. I traded a couple kgdp clones for some thin mint (cut) girl scout cookies. So its officially cherry pie, kgdp, and tmgsc. All pretty close to eachother in terms of genetics.

Pics coming soon!! Happy Valentine's Day to all the lovers out there. I have a terrific lady day planned thats going to score me some major points with the mrs.

Day 2 of 12/12

What's up everyone? Sorry for not updating as much lately. I've been super busy with other things than my garden ever since I started this and I think I've been paying the price with the kgdp. I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong with them. I've tried everything with the new batch and ended up losing a few more. My buddy took a couple to see if he could have any better luck and hooked it up with a couple girlscout cookies. Down to 6 plants now (3 cherry pie, 2 gsc, 1 kgdp which will be much more manageable, although the final yield won't be as much as I anticipated due to fewer plants and some shitty vegging skills / not heavy yielding genetics. Just hoping for some quality buds which I'm confident I'll get. Everyone I talk to says it's the kgdp is easiest plant to grow (so don't take my bad luck with them as any sort of indication of the strain itself; i'm rusty and guilty of not giving them 100% attention) and I should be having more trouble with the cherry pie. The cherry pie are on auto pilot at this point. they seem to have liked the training and it's actually time to do some more.

Here's some pics of the cherry pie and new girl scout cookies.

GSC - weird looking clones all tall and skinny with not many branches. Not expecting much out of these things. never have seen the thin mint cut so don't know if this is normal or not. sure will be interesting. love the smoke though so couldnt pass it up.

Cherry pie. It's time to get the tops anchored down again. at this point these are my only hope for a decent yield.

nothing fancy with the training. just paperclips and sewing string.

again sorry for everyone who thought they were going to see an awesome all around run this time. i'm super disappointed with my luck with the kgdp. i'm not done with them yet. i will conquer that strain -- it's personal now. but i had to move on with this run due to time constraints. wish me luck!

i'm planning to add in a couple new lights and a dedicated veg tent over the next couple months. but the veg tent is one of the lowest priorities in life right now just more of a would be nice. the lights are more of a for sure thing but getting the additional 2 more i have planned will be overkill in the 3x3. i might be able to pull it off if i make a few tweaks to my setup. things are going to get interesting around here next round for sure. i kind of just want to say fuck this round and start fresh but the cherry pie and not wanting to waste a month are the only reasons i don't.

well that's enough rambling, planning, and venting for now. be back with another update in a few days. peace and thanks for all the support.

That's some sweet training Puff, I should have started training my TD wayyyy earlier than I had- it's gonna be tight.

At least you have some clones thriving, I am on my..... 3rd attempt? and still thinking I did something wrong.. don't fret about the "mistakes" bruv..,. If you want to call them that.

Call 'em lessons. We can't make all the mistakes ourselves, and we cant let everyone else make 'em for us.

How tall are those puppies?! Keep it up man

Nice work on those pies, I can't find any good cuts of it up here. It is better than GSC all around to me. I ran the thin mints GSC both indoor and out and it is the worst yielder I have ever seen, it's a very slow vegger which I'm sure is part of it. Pie has better nugs and the yield is good for an elite strain.

Looks great man

The thin mint is what you want. GSC is f1 Durban x Flo Rida OG.. No GDP in the GSC, or Cherry pie or that matter- same breeder though. Just started some Cherry Pie's myself. They certainly do love life. I was saying the same thing earlier. Cheers!

Thanks, scotch. I'm happy with they way the cherry pie have taken to the training. I just tied some more branches down this morning. Right now being tied down for the second time they are about 18in. I'm not worrying about the mistakes or errors anymore for this run. next time should be much, much smoother.

What club has Cherry pie? I just harvest my last ones
Check your PM's.

Thanks, tags! Let me know if you make it out to the bay area and I can let you know where I got mine. Haven't seen them flower yet but I'm sure it will be a good cut. this place always has top of the line genetics. thanks for the info on the thin mints. I had a feeling they were going to be low yielders so thanks for confirming my suspicions. really looking forward to having some elite top notch quality buds.

Edit: Guess I should clarify since that sounded a little confusing. There is no cherry pie or gdp in the GSC (f1 Durban x Flo Rida OG). Cherry pie is (f1 Durban x GDP) x OG.
Hey mischief, thanks for checking out my grow and for the info ont he GSC. Hope you stick around for the rest of the grow. Good luck with your cherry pie, feel free to post some updates in here every so often or a link to your journal if you have one.

Thin mints is the first pheno picked as elite by the original breeder of GSC. As you said it is (GDP x F1Durban). "F1" being an unknown sativa strain that they crossed with a Durban to get seeds and then picked a male out of that and pollinated the og. The same male was used to create Cherry Pie...(GDP x F1Durban). There is a video with berner and pie guy(I believe) saying what it is. Cookies is too sketchy of a strain now more than ever to get the real deal so I'm personally over it. Even with real ones, there's a few pheno's. Everyones cookies look, smell, taste all different. And the ones people/ clubs like are all purple which ain't thin mints, more like a mislabeled Cherry pie. But getting pie seems to be more reliable when it comes to actually getting the real deal. All just what I have discovered from flirting around with gsc's for the last 2 years.

Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwDkikbJbP8 starts about gsc @ 3:25

It will be cool to see both in the same tent. Plus under an Apache!

Day 6 of 12-12.

Tomorrow they are getting their first drinks of Cannaboost. Then in a couple days I will start to foliar feed with the boost as well on an every 3-5 day schedule. I'm still doing the optical foliar spray but only on a few of the plants. so far, i really like the stuff. I definitely notice the girls perking up after spraying it and checking back later on in the day. I plan on doing a more scientific testing of it next round. This was just a trial-on-a-whim but I like what I see so far.

The Cherry Pie with some training. Spreading out the lower branches and bending the top shoots.

I wish I had more of these plants, really great genes. I'm stoked...

Bloom feeding schedule:

Weeks 1-2 (roughly)
8 ml/g of A & B
2 ml/g of Rhizo
7 ml/g of cannazym
8 ml/g of boost
2 ml/g silica blast
2 ml/g magical
Every 3-5 days foliar feed 2-4 ml/l of boost
Optic foliar spray 2-3 times per week.
I'll stop foliar feeding around week 4

Today is day 7 of 12/12
No pics today. I'll get some up in the next few days of the GSC and KGDP. Also have a new addition to the tent coming soon. Grabbing an exhale co2 bag finally. Been meaning to test one out for a year or so but the time is finally right. Will post co2 readings before adding it in and after.

Thats all for now.

Let's stay classy my led homies.

Day 9 of 12/12.

I added in the EZ CO2 bag. PPM was at 540 when I opened the tent this morning before adding it in. I'll report back with readings after a full 24 hours.

The Cherry Pie looking sexy as fuck. They started getting pistils a few days after the KGDP and about the same time as the TMGSC. Maybe it's strain dependent or maybe due to the LST. Things are going to start to pick up going forward.
Cherry Pie 1.jpgCherry pie 2.jpgCherry Pie 3.jpg

TMGSC - tall skinny bitches

KGDP - short and stocky

That's all for now folks. Thanks for stopping in.
