Hello folks,
I am a new mm patient and I bought LED from Apache Tech simply because of the electrical issues and the electrical cost factory. I am new to growing and really
am trying to figure out how to go about the whole process of using the LED start to finish, spoke to A tech and was advised 2/3 feet for clones/veg
and he also recommended covering the red spectrum lights with black electrical tape, then when flowering remove the tape.
On this thread I have read of folks using the (AT120r/w(3:2)ratio from start to finish.
I was able to pick up a couple of clones (1 white widow & 2 AK 4
and I had a few (mexican) seeds and I poped them and planted them.
I used the LED light and set it up 1 feet above the plants and gave them 16-18 hours of light and that did not work out. One ak quickly withered and died
however the and the other seemed to be on it way. However the white widow seemed to enjoy the light.
That is one I contacted Robert and he advised 1-2 feet and possibly even three feet above the canopy. A few more days went by and it seem to be going better.
In the mean time I decided I needed a seedling/cloning grow area so I ordered a 2nd tent, with a T5 light.
I switched the plant out of the LED light to the T5 and the plants responded immediately.
So I started reading more about the LED w/r 2:3 ratio and found that it was specifically designed for flowering.
So could someone please explain to this uneducated grower the correct process to use LED red/white 3:2 ratio
Cheers,
Thanks
