boil water on the stove fill up your water tray outside set your pyrex in the water blast into that let sit for awhile after pop few bubbles.

boil water on the stove again, switch out the water with fresh hot water. do that few times with some light mixing or heavy mixing if you want budder

ok gotcha gotcha. purging after blasting in a dry pan. that's how I always did it too.

have you ever tried blasting into warm water itself?

ok, i confess I'm a newb, and i tried making my first whatever the heck the sticky gooo is that works for me.
I can't find the utube link, but here's the method...and please I know it's not the best, but it's cheap and it works.

- glass jar with 1 oz of popcorn buds from trim
- 1/2 a quart of Isopropyl alcohol (from Wally World), 91%
- squish up the popcorn buds and pour in the alcohol
- Put the jar in the freezer overnight
- Wake up and check plants, then grab the bottle and shake it up while checking out emails and whats new on Hulu
- Then take a pyrex dish and coffee filters and pour the greenish liquid into the filters and let it strain out into the dish
- Set the dish by a window for 2 days and the alcohol evaporates leaving a yellow film on the bottom of the dish
- Take a flat exacto blade and scrape out the goodness
- I get 4-6 grams for an oz of trim and my patients like it, I like it, so hey, it works for me

Any upgrades to my system that are cheap and easy let me know :)

I have been processing my bho like that for years. It just speeds up the evaporation process of the butane.

only 3 seconds should be long enough, then strain mixture into a glass dish.

its only 2 bills for a lab quality vaccuum kit. but hot water from the tap works instead of boiling water. that probably gets it too hot.

put the pyrex on a electric skillet on warm then u dont have to change out hot water all the time. then after its done bubbling then you put it in the vac. you get a true wax that is easier to work with instead of being sticky and i feel it is a much purer end result. if u put some on your dabber or whatever you use and just light it it should spark and crackle if it does theres still solvent in it

This is ISO extraction and not to be confused with BHO,am I right and if so I am sry 4 any derailment.But now im curious does this method need any kind of purging and does it have any after tastes from the ISO?Would grinding herb and having it frozen before the 3 sec mix help?Do you get full melt?Might be something to try.

Bho is way better than iso imho. just use dry material for iso. if you use the iso for too long it extracts chlorophil and tastes bad.

There was so much oil at the farmers market yesterday it was awesome. It was a dab lab session at least for me....yum

so anyway...........................has anyone else tried the water wash method? how did it compare to other methods you've tried? better/worse, easier/harder, etc.

I'd be cool to hear from those that make oil all the time, and those that purge with a vacuum setup........I think you guys would give the best feedback/ notice differences.
