The Irish Growers Thread!

I've only done 1 outdoor grow but was a load of shite, never harvested anything but learn a lot...was photo period plants too so that's why I'm thinking autos would be better.. Not to sure on the location as of yet....but if I find a nice place but the soil isn't the best then I might use those fabric shopping bags as pots, dig a hole for it to sit in should help keeping moisture in..Fingers crossed we get a decent summer we're all been waiting for..! I think outdoor grown weed is a nicer smoke..
Might even start a journal..??

I disagree on outdoor being a nicer smoke. You can easily get bugs and fungus and pollen from other trees or plants which might affect someones allergies. Indoor you have total control of the environment thus having better bud in my opinion that is.

It being a better smoke when it doesn't catch all that bunch of shite you said..
My opinion was meant to be in general and about being a better smoke and not about the better bud...
Maybe it's just me but I thought i had read somewhere that outdoor bud usually smokes a bit smoother than indoor weed..

That outdoor stuff I was smoking in Spain was really nice smoke. It wasn't as strong as some indoor stuff but I really liked it. It was very smooth as you say and it just felt really clean when smoking. I really like the idea of plants being grown outdoors, it just feels more natural or something.

Let me know if your over in May, Ill be there for a couple of days around the 14th to get my smoke on. TBH so much of the stuff they have in the majority of coffee shops is crap. Dampkring is one of the better ones, they normally have a few decent strains and Barneys obviously, Hunters do a nice enough Bubblegum and Hillside have a tasty amnezia but my best smoke Ive ever had over there goes to...Fuck I cant think of the name of the coffeeshop....Sheeba, and they sell and absolutely outstanding Mango Haze!! (This is just what I like,Im not telling you where to go or anything, I know you have been before)

@billy2011: have you tried the coffee shop called the dophin, it is my friends favorite one and he hits it up everytime he takes a trip to amsterdam.

I think its just opinion and experience that you have whether its outdoor or indoor. you can grow organic indoors which is suppose to taste much better as well as you can grow organic outdoors. I have had outdoor and it was very good but I prefer indoor myself, I wasn't by any means suggesting that you were wrong I mean you like what you like and I respect that!

This is one of my favorite dispensaries in San Francisco and they offer great bud, hash, oils, earwax, clones, etc. They also have a smoking lounge a few doors down, you just let them know you are going to it and they radio them via walkie talkie and you go to the door which has a camera and they buzz you in, its on the third floor and is huge. It has a pool table, flat screen TV's everywhere, water pipes, papers, and each table has a volcano at it and the tables are tall which have bar stools with backs on them it is a very comfortable nice environment to
smoke.

Mdjenks....Yes, I kow the place...it's a little stroll outside main Amsterdam center. A guy I know (old time smoker) kept on talking about this place, saying it's the best place ever and they sell the nicest shit ever etc etc etc. A few years ago I went out of my way to find the place. I wasn't impressed to say the least. I remember it so well, we bought 3 grams of 3 different strains. All 3 of them really sucked. They were way to dry and harsh with no taste. They sell there shit in little paper envelopes so you can't even see the shit properly before you buy. Maybe we just a bad experience cause I have heard some good things about the place.

Md...how does your friend compare Amsterdam shitt to the stuff you guys got??? Ive smoked a fair bit of Cali and bc stuff and IMO its a a completely different level to anything in Amsterdam.

@billy2011: Thats too bad you had a bad experience at the dolphins. My friend loves it and he has smoked some of the best herb in the world living in san francisco and has been growing for going on 13 years he says amsterdam has good herb but SF has much better.

Yeah that menu is outstanding, I personally love the candy jack, last time I was there I got a few grams of candy jack, a prerolled spliff, and about 8 grams of hash and some oil, that was a good day I must say!

Alright lads, been a while since I was about. Switching Internet Provider turned into a f**king pantomime!!! In the words of their own installer, " Yeah, they dont care as much about new customers as existing ones and we've been up the walls with breakdowns lately"... Hearing this after waiting 5 weeks...

Anyway, my lot are coming on well the WW is coming down in the next few days. The LB in probably a month or so. Both have what I think is a mag def. Had used Epsom this time round but still the same curling of the leaves so just went and got Canna Mag. First feed was last night for the LB and think there might be an improvement so hopefully I might have this sorted.

The 4 mainlined girls in veg have outgrown their room so gonna split them for flower to two per room. Hopeing to take some clones and try sorting out some form of a veg area.

curling of the leaves is natural and if the are even pointing upward that means they are enjoying what you are doing to them, I wouldn't worry about bro.

he also said he only buys the pure spliffs and said it was so potent he almost whited out from it.

lol, would bet my house that 99.9% of all indoor bud is grown without hepa filters, all that stuff could be on indoors, never read or heard about allergies.

There's a yellowing of the leaves too md. They even become brittle to touch. Have myself convinced it's a mag def now anway so not gonna be happy till I try it...

I just had 5 Barney's farm LSD in original packaging,2 each of Himalaya Gold X White Widow and AK47 X White Widow and 1 free Blue cheese delivered,I ordered from justfeminised,they came in a small jiffy envelope and you wouldn't know there was anything in it unless opened.
Pesonally I try and stick to UK based vendors because customs might like to be extra nosy with anything coming from Holland but that is just my opinion and not based on fact.

Sorry that didn't answer your question,I've never heard of anyone having hassle because of seeds in the post.

If your plants are close to finishing then yellowing is very common because the plant is diverting its energy to buds to catch pollen even though the pollen isn't there its just genetics.

Some of my friends have been to amsterdam a few times and they say there is some good bud but say cali especially the bay area has higher quality bud that is much better, I mean most strains in holland came from cali at least back in the day but today with so many crosses it is hard to tell.

i have a couple of friends with bad allergies and they won't smoke outdoor because of that reason, when they did their allergies kicked up pretty good. Indoor you should be able to not have that problem at all with out a hepa filter but with a carbon filter and a good setup you won't have any of those problems. There is no way with outdoor that your plant isn't going to pick up grass pollen, ragweed, pet dander, etc.

@ Paddy, Wow man... some impressive work my friend... A lot to be proud about there man...

The upwards lift of the leaves is normal when "enjoying" them selves but I feel some of the leaves have gone beyond that and maybe be blocking out light now...
Ive no idea what may cause this, im hoping some one on here knows as this has happened to me once, I thought it was over watering as the plant slows down toward the end of flowering..????

Lovely examples of mainlining and LST..... Im along away from there due to spider mites and toxic home-made sprays... but thankfully ive enough in my jar to save untill these girls pull through...(Hopefully)
