Ok well after a few of you around here asked me how I was doing things and such I figured I'd start this up and show you what I've got going on and how things happen around giggles farm
If you have any questions feel free to ask me, join me in my journey to perfection. I haven't been at this for as long as some of you guys and I still considered myself learning but I do feel I do have the knowledge to be able to share with you guys that are having problems in soil, I do know hydro but I've recently went back to the soil and went organic as nothing else compares for me and my patients. Is my way the best? Nope it sure isn't but it works and that's what matters to me, I'm always looking to improve and want to learn more and more. I've been growing since I was 17 years old and have always had a passion for the plant and have been learning ever since. It has been the only thing that has helped me through out my life, without it I probably would of killed someone by now lol. But anyways back to what's going on. I'll give you guys a sneak preview of part of my growing just so you can see how I get down
Now for what I'm doing for my medium.
3 parts fffof
1 part large chunky perlite
1 part worm castings
1/2 cup greensand
1/2 cup of dolomite lime
1/3 cup of Peruvian seabird guano
1/4 cup Epsom salts
Mix it all together and soak it all down for at least a day or two before you plan to use it to get all the contents blended up and oxygenated. It should be wet throughout but not over-saturated.
The first few waterings should be done with nothing but plain water as the planting mix is fairly hot. Let water sit out for at least 24 hours to evaporate chlorine that will kill off your beneficial microbes. Airs tones at the bottom will help with this process. It really depends on your water as I'm on all well water here.
From then on, use some compost teas and diluted liquid seaweed and fish emulsion on the N hungry girls throughout growth and add some high-phosphorus bat guano tea during flowering. No need to flush towards the end, simply use a mild tea for the last two weeks of flowering. Some natural yellowing will occur on fan leaves but this is a good thing as nitrogen is leaching out of the plants cells.
Now for what's going on in my grown room, veg we have the 250MH that starts my seedlings and keeps mothers alive, well at least some of them
Flowering is a 600HPS,btw is the best light I've ever used, I'd pick 2 600's over 1k's any day, but anyways that's besides the point. I'll drop in some 42w 5000k CFLS during late flowering as during the last 7-10 days of flower I flip to MH to really put the frost on.
Clones have a specific 300nm grow light above them in a 18 site aeroponic cloner.
I like to keep things in rotation but during the winter months I concentrate on growing a few monster plants to keep the bills in check as I'm dealing with some shitty weather at times.
If you guys have any questions or if I forgot anything, which I'm sure I did cause it's been a long day and I'm baked off medibles and some bubble hash
Time for some pics.
First up we have vinnie 06 which most of you have seen but I love this plant, she is 26 days in on 12/12
Ok now onto the cloning, I like to keep it simple as well. Here is some shots for ya.
Ok well for those of you that are still with me come join me on the fun that lies ahead, 13 new seedlings and some new mothers starting
Happy growing guys!!!
