Okay, So thinking back to last summer our house got up and over 90 degrees almost every day.
We dont have central air, all we used last summer was fans and honestly it was miserable.
Lucky for me, this summer I will have some girls to take care of.
They are in a 4 x 2 x 5 Tent that has intake and exhaust running from it currently which keeps the temp around 80-ish.
The only light used is a 4ft 6 Bulb T-5, & I dont plan on upgrading anytime soon. Im happy with what it is for now.
Anyways, during the day the tent is open and I have an osculating fan outside the tent giving the girls some added air letting the dance. At night when the lights are off (they are in flower), obviously the tent is closed up. The intake and exhaust are set on timers. Once the lights go off they, the fans run for an hour, off for 30min, run for an hour, off for 30. You get the deal. Till lights are back on then they are on all day.
So with that being said, I know this summer is going to suck drastically. I was looking into getting one of those portable AC units that dont need to go in the window (just the vent does), at around 10,000BTU, for our bedroom. I was wanting to get an evap cooler for the tent itself which is still an option but if I can get away with just the AC unit itself, that would be ideal.
Would the one 10,000 BTU cooler in the room, outside the tent, be enough to keep those temps down in the tent? Obviously the intake fan would be bringing the cooler air in the tent?
Can I get some input from people who have been there & done that when it comes to cooling?
Thanks Guys!
