  • Sensi A + B: PH perfect
    80his-60lows temps
    Foxfarm soil
    Trans-siberian, autoflower strain
    5 gallon smart pots
    400w MH/HPS
    Water PH - 4.0
I was told that is better to start in a big pot and let the roots develop consistently instead of using little pots and building up with auto flowering strains. Also the PH of the water is 4.0 coming straight from the tap but the soil is 7.0 with water, it could be my PH tool.

This is my second grow, i grew feminized seeds (non-auto) BlackJack.

Is it my PH or my nutes because i thought i would see nute burn if it was the nutes i put about .9ml into a gal (total).
Also should i stop using tap and start buying distilled water, and will the distilled water have a neutral PH?
Any solutions i'm open to so please respond!

Aside from the meter aspect mentioned above, it looks like those guys are being slightly over fertilized and maybe your light source is too distanced. Get us some information on your watering cycle and light distance, shouldn`t be any fert issues as there shouldn`t be any additional nutes on top of your soil until about a week from now. Get back to us and happy growing

well my watering cycle isn't organized right now but the light is about 18" away from the plants with a 12" fan 3-speed. I just water when i see that about 2" down is dry and then i water lightly.

With a 400W light you could drop that light a tad, but I think the issue is still the feeding. Let your soil system become almost completely dry before feeding again and make sure you do until there`s runoff. Best way to tell is weight test the dry medium, and again after a watering. I would leave any and all nutes out of the mix for another 2 weeks as well, let the plant recover with more neutral PH and the nutrients from the FF. I`ll stay posted

the container thing is wrong>>> it is important to up pot because it makes a tighter more complex root system< when you use a big pots they keep searching for walls to hit>>> always up pot don't start in a big container if you want better roots!

it is also great to ph your water, i do but, foxfarm has amendments that keep your ph around 7.0....so i doubt it is a ph problem because soil is a great natural buffer. more per-lite would help especially with such small plants, they might have trouble root searching.. this is just a few thoughts
