Greenhouse Hydroponic Scrog Experiment

Hey everyone, first time posting here but I've been lurking and researching for the past year(missed starting last season due to not getting supplies in time and a broken leg preventing me from reaching a safe grow spot). This time around, a partner and I have invested in a relatively low scale legal medicinal grow. The plan is to grow a 4 plant scrog using hydroponics in a homemade "greenhouse". for the hydro set up, we are using a 66L Rubbermaid "food-safe" tub as the water reservoir that will be shaded to keep temperatures down. We have water line running from this to an Autopot SmartValve in another smaller, shallow Rubbermaid tub with 4 bottom fed pots in it. For a grow medium we are going to use a 60% coco coir to 40% perlite mix. Nutrients wise, we have Flora Micro and Flora Bloom for veg, swap Flora micro for Dr. Hornsby's Big Bud and add Dark Energy during flowering. The reason for not growing indoors is we have no space and the sun in our area is better, and the greenhouse is just to protect from nosy neighbors. the greenhouse is 5 foot by 5 foot and 6 feet tall. I was thinking of putting the screen at 2 feet( i've heard a few times to put it at 1/3 of the height you want), but for hole size wise, I'm not sure what to do. Also, we are still in the process of deciding the strain(s). part of me wants to go crazy and try 4 different strains, but part says just stick to one because it'll keep everything similar. Our first choice right now is Girl Scout Cookies, but we haven't found much grow info on them(smell is a concern). Any suggestions for strains? We have local dispensaries we can get clones from, so there are lots of options. How does our plan sound? Any tips, criticism, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

edit: forgot to say, we were going to cover the greenhouse to give the plants 12/12 once about 80% of the screen is filled. from my understanding, it isn't worth letting nature switch to 12/12 if we dont want the plants to going to keep getting bigger. any thoughts on this idea?

If your plants make it to flower, you're going to have a smell my friend.
yea, i know they are going to smell, its just a matter of how much. we are going to hook up a fan and carbon filter to the greenhouse to cut down on it a bit.

i scrogged outside last season, it was epic
how many plants did you use? how big was the screen and screen holes? do ya have any pictures?

can i ask why your going soiless? you will have a hard time keeping the res cool...shade wont cut it imo...you will need a water cooler..
it's going to cost and be more work than it's worth imo...
i have seen a lot of people start outdoor hydro threads...don't think i ever saw one finish...
i also see you having humidity and heat issues with such a small greenhouse...so you will need fans..adding to the cost...
and doing light dep...you're going to be busy this summer...gsc is a 10 week strain...i would run something with a 8 week flower like dream queen(green crack) save some time and work...

SeniorBrownWater thanks for the info about the light deprivation. lemme look through the options and look for other 8 week flowers. and for a fan, we have a osculating one we can use and we have a thermometer and hygrometer inside. we decided to move the location of the greenhouse and now we can store the water inside with a line running out. power isn't a problem to keep a fan running either. and the reason for hydro is there is no room in soil in the area for them and i honestly don't know why i didn't do pots. i figured the autopot would help with consistent water/feeding schedule. any short flowering indica's and/or mix strains you'd recommend? i will look into green crack as i heard it stays shorter like an indica

I think we will be doing blueberry jack, cherry kush, and blackwater(x2).

as for the greenhouse, once we are into june when all the iffy weather is gone, we will remove the "greenhouse"

just checked the greenhouse when i woke up, was curious about temperatures.. its 47 farenheit with 93% humidity.. so humidity is going to be a definite problem. and theres nothing even in there yet..
