Still expanding.View attachment 2549717.... Got some great ideas from my guy at the grow store, gonna run 2 tents on a flip box. 2x 3x3 trays top fed in 2-3 gallon smart pots. Gotta spend money to make money
Ive only really used my 400w CMH for vegGetting a 2' 8 bulb instead so it can fit in a 3x3 lol. I'll never Veg with anything but T5
I was gonna put it on craigslist for $50 until dude said he needed one lol. But we can work something out maybe towards that 5x5....then I'll pick up a 400w mh for Veg or something, use the T5 for clones in the top section of the twin tentwhatever they offer you ill give you 10$ more.
What's the difference in the MH from CMH?Ive only really used my 400w CMH for veg
Does wonders without too much heat.
Haha.. the guy at one of my local hydro shops thinks I'm a cop too.. must be the short hair and boyish good lookscomposition of the arc tube. CMH is good, but a 3-4k standard MH is comparable if not better. reason being, the regular Mh puts more off at the right peaks where as the the CMH put its all off broad spectrum but less intense. CMh is good for small spaces i wouldnt veg with it over a regular MH, would rather use it to flower but i think the MH is still better(flower or veg) because its more NM specific. CMH overrated tek and not new, same situation with induction lighting vs electrode florescent lights.
shit honestly id rather flower all the way with Mh anymore but the last 2 weeks? i dont think its really gonna make that much of a difference you should just add some blue in somehow for the whole period of flowering.Haha.. the guy at one of my local hydro shops thinks I'm a cop too.. must be the short hair and boyish good looks
Q: I've been reading stuff on switching back to MH for the last few weeks of flower? Good idea? or stick with the HPS?

using these charts is a touchy subject, but remember these are marketing tools and dont measure the actual intensity of the light mathematically according to these charts 400w CMH and MH blue put off more light than 400w HPS, which we both no is not true. use these charts to measure spectrum and the relative intensity of the different colors of light, from what im seeing they are all pretty much equal. in fact the GE CMH looks the best for flowering being much more red leaning.
I dig what youre sayin but i use the bulb on the left not the right so maybe youre confused with the GE cmh and not the Phillips one?
GE uses a 3k and Phillips uses a 4K. Not much difference but in the spectrum chart you can see the difference.
And compared to the hortilux MH they look pretty similar?
The other reason ive liked them is that there total lumens, lumen loss %, and life is more towards the HPS side.
Even though i wouldnt be using any bulb past its prime. hahaha
ive always wanted to do a 600 hps and a 400 cmh in my flower box but havent had the time to rig that up.
