Ive been watching led grows for awhile and this one has really got me interested. I like your mix of LEDs and the fact that they are all from major players in the led industry; it doesn't get much better than Cree & Luxeon. I'm pumped to see you included warm-white cree xml LEDs, those will help cover a wide spectrum plus they are ridiculously powerful. Also, nice job mixing the red orange, red and deep-reds. From what i've seen this will really help the flowering stage and as anyone who knows anything about LEDs and growing, the flowering stage is where improvement is needed. I like that fixture, with the fans. It's the first heatsink that really looks big enough to get rid of the heat created. I bet even with that large of a heatsink, it still gets slightly warm? Really awesome job man!! I'm impressed and hope you have good results. My guess is if all your plants are strong and healthy, you'll get a pound from those 12 plants.

thanks. its a good mix. i wanted to get a full spectrum to simulate the natural sun. it's working real well.

the fans help move the heat from the heatsink. i can put my hand on it and it feels warm. i can't complain because heat is needed to keep the plants happy during the cold months.

the update is coming in a few days :)

update time. finally found the camera! wife put the box i had the battery in the garage. !*UR)*U!#) turned the office into a mess for nothing

they're roughly 10" or so right now with a nice even canopy. gonna give em another 2 weeks or so then flip the switch :)

you may have noticed i reduced the plants by half again. i want to give the plants maximum amount of light coverage since i will be transplanting to a larger pot size.

Looking great KAW, looks like the girls are good and healthy. Another two weeks will be nice for them, let them pack on some structure before the flower. Your second picture in the update really shows off the healthy stem structure, keep it up mate ... you`re in the Sig now ...

Wow - those girls look sturdy! I need to get a second Kessil so I can get more yield!
they are showing a lot of new growth. need to take a photo in natural daylight.

i've seen the kessil's over reef aquariums but not for grow. how far do you have the light above your plants?

I had to keep it 24 to 36 inches because it was frying the plant. I have heard that LED grows require more CalMag. I do not know if this is true for the landrace sativa. Getting ready to try again. I am building a stainless steel hempy system. I will post some shots when I start to assemble it.

I saw your other grow. very impressive mo. I used my own blend for soil mix. I'm pretty sure calmag isn't needed. Keep me posted on your build. I'll sub for sure
