So ... What have I been up to?? All the days are blurring together..
I attacked the Northern Lights X Big Bud and got about 9 Clones out of her. Hopefully I'll have 5 survivors out of that lot.
I also transplanted two of the Double Berrys into 7 Litre buckets.
Quite a bit of yellowing going on. I'll sort that out with a feed. I'm very paranoid of over feeding these days.

Only a week or so left for one of these Double Berries and 3 or 4 weeks left for the other. I did give wrong ages of these earlier in this thread. These Double Berries take about 10-12 weeks to flower fully so I'll growing them out. I want to only keep a strain that ripens in 8-9 weeks max.

IMG_2630.jpgIMG_2631.jpgIMG_2632.jpg
These two were recently transpanted. One look terrible like I've over feed but I didn't. Not sure what I've done wrong so I've flushed her anyway.
I want to get rid of these Double Berries despite their amazing taste, high and odor.

So glad you're doing a Plant Photonics grow!

I'm really interested in getting a 70w Dual Spectrum for my little veg cab, bit pricey which is why it's great to see how you do with them before I take the plunge.

I'm kinda 99% sold on getting one but just need to sell a few things on ebay first to get it.

I have a query about the dual spectrum functions,
when it is veg mode, does it draw 70w?
And what about when you have both modes on?
Is it 35w each mode?

I'm not entirely sure. It's probably around 70w in each mode. In veg mode extra blue LED's are on and in Flower mode the blues are replaced by extra red LED's.
If you hold on a while longer you'll have the new panels with the updated Osram oslon LED's in:)

cheers for replying digi and for the heads up on new panels!
When will they arrive?

I've contacted Richard but he's got a backlog of lights to build so email responses are very slow at the moment, I guess being a one man company there's only so much you can do.

I've no doubt that the lights are top quality, it's the after support that I'm concerned about, if say something went wrong and he was too busy to respond then I'd be stuck.
How have you found support post purchase?

Well I've only ever had one problem and that now won't happen as he constantly upgrades. The bit of plastic that's between the circuit board and LED's came loose as the thermal sillicon glue lost it's hold but now he uses something else.
I've had a few long waits with replies from him but on that occasional he did email back fairly sharp with instructions or return options. It was a fairly easy problem to fix so i done it myself. In my opinion the likely hood of any problems is very small. I do wish he'd get himself a secretary though.

Cheers Digi for info and PP experience!

Yes lookin sweet:clap:

He needs a secretary alright, his future rep may depend on it.
In such a fast moving world, email delays can make or break businesses.
People tend to prefer quick response times even if it's an email to say your query has been received.
I'll drop him a line about osrams.

But at the end of the day I dig that it's a quality handmade silent European light so am intriqued to get hold of one:-)

Hi ! Looks interesting.
I've been balling around between Han's panel and Plant Photonics. These seem the best options for a european grower at the moment.
One thing that's bothering me is that I've no idea how loud those panels are with all those fans goin' on on top of them. Could you, Digimidgi, share your impressions about this ? Do you hear them trough that small closet of yours ? Would you call them stealth ? Would you be able to sleep in the same room ? Comparison between Han's panel and Plat Photonics would be highly appreciated !
Thanks : )

I would agree with you about the best choice for Europeans, one thing doesn't impress me though is the heatsink area... Mind you got powerful good fans on the plantphotonics (german made) and they should be not very loud I guess but a owner will better tell

Howdy Tafkai. Interesting name, wheres it from?
The plant photonics panels are almost silent. Before I'd ever bought his panels I'd bought quite a few of those xilence fans. They are REALLY quiet!
I have few the wardrobe and the cab in my bedroom! BUT i can hear the sound of air being sucked through the carbon filters.
Han's panels, the fan was quite loud. I ended up replacing it with a xilence 120mm fan and adding some aluminum raisers so air can flow being over the panel surface.

Update - - - - Some issues with the ladies - - - I wanted to blame it on the PH but I think it's not that. Only a few clones are looking healthy.
The Northern Lights X Big Bud is looking great. The Double Berries are struggling

One of the Double Berries will be chopped in a day or two when the coco is dry. The other DB is doing OK but shouldn't look so pale. I think I've not feed them enough.
I used to over feed and now I don't feed enough.. .. I'll get it right eventually! I've still soo much to learn. Wish i could pin point the deficiency or issue.

Hey Digi...With the clones...i assume they have rooted by now? If they have...i think the dome can come off them.

You might have too much light on them also?

Impossible to give an accurate analysis without a true color shot. Take a picture with the LEDs off and post it.

Then we can help you in a diagnosis and treatment.

Most of them didn't root:( Yes you where right about too much light.
I've taken a load more cuttings from the Northern Lights X Big Bud and put her into flower as she has outgrown the Cab.
They all seem to be greening up now:) I've also transplanted the Vanilla Kush.

Howdy peoples.... Sorry I'm really crap at this journal thing. Oh well.... . here's an update of sorts.

I got 5 clones transplanted and few more still sprouting roots in the propagator.
I have one Double berry in veg and waiting to move home into the bud drobe, when the other double berry is ready to harvest.
The Vanilla kush was tranplanted and is only just shock. I had to flush her as a few leaves started to rust, i think due to PH and over dose of root juice.
IMG_2672.jpgIMG_2673.jpgIMG_2674.jpgIMG_2675.jpg

In the Bud drobe I have 4 Double berries. One just 10 days away till harvest. Two very small and recovered from over feeding and another only 1 week into flowering.
I also have the Northern lights X Big bud that's been in flowering about 2 weeks and looking wonderfulllll

IMG_2676.jpgIMG_2677.jpgIMG_2678.jpgIMG_2679.jpgIMG_2680.jpgIMG_2681.jpgIMG_2682.jpg

I got 2 oz dry from the Double berry which is what i expected. Tastes amazing, so creamy:)
