I've been using Black Gold Organic (orange label) and like it better than roots. For me its been bug free and I've had no deficiencies.

I also took a note from Nugbuckets and have made a layered effect (just like u do with super soil) with anything going into 1 gallon pots, just rooted seeds and clones. I throw in some Vermifire, about 1/3 on the bottom, then about an inch or 2 of Black Gold mixed with the vermifire (buffer layer) and then the rest with the Black Gold. Everythings been really happy with this set up.

I'm liking the black gold as well!! I use a 75% black gold 25% "sunshine mix" with house and garden soil a/b

I see a lot of you guys complaining about soils having gnats and that you cant get the bagged tga soil.
Well heres a little something I found watching farmerjohn420 and venomgrower420 race to 420 videos on youtube. There using tga bagged super soil.
And THEY HAVE GNATS.
So its not like your in the clear from gnats with the tga bagged soil.
Im in no way putting down tga soil. I wish I could get it too.lol
I just think its probably gonna happen inevitably so kill the gnats and grow your dank people.

this is no joke. ive gotten gnats about 3 times in my grows. always from a new bag of soil, or additive.
EVERY TIME. two treatments of goGnats, one week apart. done.

Any of the nerds out there perfect everclear tinctures for under tongue applications? I made one yesterday but felt it could be done better. Most of the tutorials I see online are conflicting and so forth. My patients are really interested and I just want to try my hardest to find the best method to help them out.

you can tell Spring is about to sprung, when everyone starts talking about mixing up their outdo soil!....headed to the shop this week to buy my ingredients.....TGA charge pack, vermifire and roots 50/50 for me this year....good luck everyone...

words of advice....don't over-do the K....it will fuck your season up!...lol....

haha its because TGA bagged soil is using roots organics soil in it

I am planning on trying out subs glycerin method. However one patient specifically needs the tincture in a few days.

use subs method substituting glycerin with your alcohol and you should be fine.

Decarb your herb, crumble it then fill mason jar, add the 151. Shake shake, then into freezer. Shake 2-3x per day. Filter and drain, I added a hot cinnamon flavor. After about 3 days, test potency. I think I left mine in about a week. Oh and 151 burns under the tongue.

If your like me and hate the green flavor of alcohol tincture. I recomend using a method used in making hashoil. Called "qwiso" stands for quick wash iso. Just use the everclear instead of isopropel aclohol. And dont evaporate down all the way of corse. Just to were its potent enough.
If you never herd of qwiso google it. Its really easy.
Should be left with a nice golden tincture.

Thanks, how much bud/trim to alc would you suggest ?

The ones I made yesterday have a bearable burn but doesn't taste like liquor. I've found that any non smoked thc for me doesn't have a effect. I know it has something to do with my insides but I don't absorb the thc liked I should so it's hard for me to test things like that. So I want to try a couple methods and let her try the, out and see which is best for her.

I did evaporate a lot of the alc off. Reduced 4 shots to 1 and a half. Ideally if I could get it to a couple drops per dose I would be set. I'll def look into it though thanks !

I didn't measure. Get a pint canning jar, put as much crunched decarbed flowers in there as u can, fill with 151 to about an inch below the lip.

I tend to make edibles to strong and green myself out (which i hate) when testing even when trying 1/2 a dose.

i have settled on a recipe for alc tink i like very much, and so does many of my friends.....it is strong, so you only need an average of 15 drops, so the alc burn really is not a problem, and if you don't like it, you just mix it with water, i don't know why so many are against alc tinks....it does not make sense to me...i love the taste btw...it is a very quick and easy way to make high quality meds.....i have yet to find and herbal tincture that was more effective in a glycerine...the alc tinks are way more effective...imho.....

i use very high quality sugar trim that has been lightly kiefed in a box, so gently crumbled and shaken.....then decarb it at 250 degrees for 20 min....

add 50 grams to 14 ounces 95% grain alc in a quart mason jar......

very lightly boil in a double boiler (sauce pan with 3/4 full of water with jar inside) 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or so....

let cool, and filter through a piece of organic wool.

when filling tink bottles, use a turkey baster, and stir to disperse sediment before filling baster/bottle.......

remember to shake bottle before each dose....

i use my tink almost everyday....but use with caution, it can be a hell of a ride if you (or your peeps) take too much.....

i have with buds, but not frozen trim....the herb has to be dried and decarboxylated first in order for it to become activated.....so fresh frozen would not work very well......
