He may have been a paranoid man(had every right to be) but he was a intelligent man and he has everything setup so that when he did die those that will have a chance to replace him think just like him. Not much will change in Venezuela. It will remain a socialist state.
What we will see is the US attempting to play nice with them now in hopes they can establish better relations so we can get some of their oil.
If were weren't in such a high tech and information age I imagine the US would attempt a coup there like they did with so many other nations over the past decades when the world wasn't so connected as it is now.
