How are licenses being issued for retail sales??

Like if someone wanted to open a bar that serves Cannabis, what type of license would be required?

That is all still in the works, with all the gun bills going through the state congress right now we have fallen to a back burner....
In theory though a retail license is what you would need, but there is no promise that a place you can buy and consume cannabis is going to be legal at all.

It would be grow license and retail license and that's if they give you the licenses. For Washington its like 250 bucks application fee each and 1000 bucks each for the license. Something like that I read it but don't remember sorry.

Its not that easy and straight forward, how can they know what license to sell you if no one has decided what the licenses are yet? Or what is going to be allowed, and what is not.
There will be no retail sales here until at least January of 2014, still a lot of red tape to cut through.

The license to grow would be to grow for the state. Only MMJ people can grow for them selfs. The license to sale would allow you to sale cannabis but nothing else can be soled there no bars will be able to do both weed and booze. I think there is more info. about this in the Washington MMJ section here on riu. This is in Wa.

Believe it or not I read more then just the colorado forums and I have a pretty decent idea of who you are from the arizona threads. Youre basically the finshaggy of Az. keep trying and maybe you can get your foot in the door here
