Lead the way.. lol My Dad was really big inot splicing genetics. He made a 7 different type fruit tree one time I remember of, and also spliced 3 or 4 strains together back in the late 80's early 90's. I really can't remember the exact genetics he used or did this with, but do remember him telling/talking to me about what he was doing. But I was either stoned or wasn't paying attention. :mrgreen:
I would love to get into doing this, but Dad didn't leave his notes where I can find them, my Mother told me he kept notes & I've looked all over but can't find them any where!! :cuss:
I would love to locate them! I could have his crosses, of how he did what & all. I do have genetics of his in seed form. If you could explain how to do the basics of this technique, I would 4 sure give it a go!!

Ok guys, I know you probley are getting tired of hearing it, but I am going to say it again!! Hahaha!! :mrgreen:
A bean order of mine came in today, and I went ahead & started two more strains.
Purple OG#18 & White Urkle. Really liked the Purple Urkle, so I wanted to give the White Urkle out. Its suppose to be stronger then the PU, and also have hints of purple in the buds aswell, and taste sorta like the PU also. Has anyone else grew out the White Urkle? If so let me know alittle bit about it if you will, and or post pictures of your grow. Also has anyone ever grew out the Purple OG#18? Now that strain looked & sound the bomb from what I seen & read on it. ;)

Im going to give it another try soon, tried awhile ago and didnt read about it like a :dunce: and took the bags off to early and they dried off. Itll work, why not right? Cant hurt to try :):):)

Even though it will only be my second grow, I plan on doing some genetic splicing as well. I've done quite a bit of reading on it. Seems easy enough (famous last words lol). I don't really have an excellent reason for doing it, I just thought it would be cool =) Wonder what the max amount of strains on one plant is or if there is a max. The most I've seen is 8

From what I've read/seen its to how many tops "V" s you can produce soyou can take and split them, take your clone that's cut at a 45* angle place it in the V cut and wrap it up, is the all I've read thus far.

Anyone that's done it, fill me in on the rest of it, or if this is the way you did it??

I love em, i dont have anything to compare them to because thats my first dirt lady ever but they seem good so far. I love the idea that the roots wont circle. And air pruning would lead to a better developed root system id think. Sure, whatever. A bunch of the leaves are turning yellow and falling off. I hit er with straight nitrogen today so hopefully that slows down. I know its sorta natural and all but it seems like theres alot of them. Ive heard ice is a nitrogen whore though. Maybe net time ill run grow nutes longer. A little somebody erased daddys calander so i dont even know how old she is anymore. Darn it lol ttyl bud :)

Hahaha!! I know exactly what you mean when you said "sum 1 little" had something to do with your stuff getting messed up!! I can't keep my 8 yr old outta everything!! She is into that drawing stuff & wanting to hang it everywhere!! So our house has stick figured drawings everywhere!! Lol I have to tell the little one all the time not to mess with daddies big toys. Haha.. ;) you gotta love um though.

Yeah, I really like the air pots also. Just the only thing I don't like is the damn trays you have to put under them to catch the run off, having to empty the dang things all the time!! But oh well, as long as the tree's that's in them are happy I am to.. ;)

Im probably four weeks in....i think lol no red hair yet. All white still. I only add 2.5 litres of water to my 5 gallon smart pot every two/three days so i dont get hardly any run off, well just the stuff that leaks out the side sometimes which is almost none. I have the saucers too, i cant stand dirty grow rooms, drives me frickin bonkers :cuss:
